Tore his ACL is his sophomore season and was never the same after that. Still think he would have been a great player without that freak injury. That being said, he still did pretty well overseas.
According to wikipedia, he's part of the Gonzaga coaching staff these days.
Still retired w/ 2 rings and has a heck of a story to tell his grandkids.
Shouldv'e been born in the 40's imo.

I believe a team in Greece signed him.
He will be a Euroleague MVP before long.

He also had Type 1 diabetes. It's really difficult to play sports at a high level, let alone the pros, when your insulin is out of whack. It's what regulates your glucose...and glucose is the energy your body and, especially, brain need during times of activity and high stress.
I have hypoglycemia (which is like the opposite of diabetes) and it started to affect me in my mid 20s. I went from being able to run forever on the court to getting dizzy and gassed within minutes. Was diagnosed at 15 but I guess it wasn't that bad. Once it got worse, forget it...I was done.
To this day, even when I just play pick up ball with guys who hardly play, I have to monitor what I eat carefully the entire day before I play. And even then, I'm lagging all over the place.

Is he high or what? :oldlol:
He was our replacement for Mark Madsen; instrumental with his cheer-leading and Gatorade passing skills during our two titles in the Kobe/Pau era.
It's unfortunate that he has diabetes and torn his ACL; he was a high pick in the draft and had a good college career. I wish him all the best in Gonzaga.

That's pretty relative, tbh... It can differ from person to person, let's say.
I have a friend who has type-1 diabetes and he can't keep up with higher physical activity for long, even gets rushed to the hospital due to hypoglecemia from time to time - goes "both ways" with diabetes, you can end up with either high or low sugar levels, your body no longer "controls" it.
But, then again, one of my cousins also has type-1 diabetes and he has great endurance/stamina, nobody even notices he has it (ingests some sugar when he feels he has to, but that's it; ofc, he's insulin-dependant). He used to ball in college, and even in his 30's right now, he "outlasts" pretty much anyone when we play at the park, always at good level...
Plus, any athlete at the level Morrison got to, has the upmost control with it... Dude had a very strict diet and the most modern insulin-pump and whatnot (many diabetics don't even have a pump).
Jay Cutler is a type-1 diabetic, Sam Fuld of the MLB too, Chris Dudley (former NBA player) also, Gary Hall (Olympic medalist swimmer)...
Not saying it doesn't affect him or anyone else ofc, but I don't think he ever showed any MAJOR problems with it in college, over there in Europe (even after the ACL), or as a NBA-rookie, when he had some good runs and showed some potential, playing for a shitty team.
What really screwed him was the torn ACL while he was still young and on a developing stage, then he ended up on a contending team with no place for him... I think he could've been a solid pro, had he stayed healthy (even as a diabetic).

Diabetics don't tend to heal well or more slowly. So the ACL injury was worse for him than most others, probably.
