i got em with a friend at a place that had a deal, buy one pair at full price, get a second pair (limited selection) for a buck

i have never bought nice shoes and have never had an ankle injury, so i'm not at all worried. i'm just giving op a hard time cuz i think buying expensive shoes is silly. then again i sometimes buy expensive hats which i guess is the exact same thing, so who am i to talk.

i tell ya this is my second dollar pair and they work just fine!

nm they aren't no name, they are adidas, just bottom of the barrel adidas. made in indonesia though so you know they're top quality

Basketball shoes today are a bunch of cheap ass shoes that sells for high dollar. I always ask people if they play in their retro Jordans and they say no because the fall apart.

Also, what is up with the fly knit stuff. If someone steps on your foot, you're screwed. There is no padding just fabric.

Today's shoes are made for performance, I give it that much credit, but at the same time they are not durable.

Wilt was playing with Chuck Taylor's on. If given a pair of Hyperdunks he would be tearing it up. I tried to play in Chuck Taylor's and it destroys your feet. You don't get that bounce like you do with modern basketball shoes.

Color makes a huge difference in appearance. You can also choose from different soles and have custom #'s and initials. Nike ID is actually a really cool feature... if you have the money to blow. I usually just try to pick a colorway I like, but sometimes I splurge for an ID. My Kobe VI ID's are still my favorite ball shoes... even though the traction is all but gone. :(
