No, because it killed a really great Pacers Team and Bynum fouled out of frustration and not on purpose to deliver a message.

these are two completely different things

i love a good brawl when everybody is at the ready. it'd be nice if the nba veered closer to hockey in just letting the scuffle continue. imo shit wouldn't really go too far. nba players are punks for the most part, nobody wants to miss games or lose money, even if it means gaining street cred. besides the odd maniac (artest) or guys with a chip on their shoulder (stephen jackson), things just aren't very likely to escalate. though its understandable why the league doesn't want that, given it targets kids and has to remain family friendly.

cheap shots are entirely different. that bynum jab is fking retarded and he should have missed a dozen games for something that blatant. way worse than artest attacking the fans imo, given circumstances et al

not saying they're equivalent but that's on some mcsorley/brashir shit. u can ruin a guy's life with elbows to the ribs in midair like that. same cannot be said about punches thrown in a scrum.
