View Full Version : Vegan Men Have HIGHER Levels of Testosterone

GIF REACTION

Sit the **** down meat eaters. Meat is manly? Heh. More like... Meat equals less testosterone, higher IGF-1 which means increased risk of ALL cancers, more clogged arteries, less blood flow, weaker erections. Meat is emasculating.

A British Journal of Cancer study of 696 men (233 of whom were vegans) concluded this: “Vegans had 13% higher T [testosterone] concentration than meat-eaters and 8% higher than vegetarians.” Not only did vegan men have as much testosterone as meat eaters, they actually have 13% MORE of this manly hormone. On the flip side, too much testosterone can be a bad thing because it leads to higher levels of IGF-I – a risk factor for certain cancers. Surprisingly, the report also found this: “Vegan men had on average 9% lower IGF-I levels than meat-eaters.”

If by awesome you mean less testosterone, higher levels of IGF-1, higher rate of cancers and illnesses/disease, shorter average life span, smelling bad, fatter, more body fat, clogged arteries leading to poor blood flow which is why you have erections problems... Then sure.

Go ahead and be "awesome"

Just don't expect to attract any women with those emasculated characteristics.

What sort of veganism do you follow? Dr. McDougall's low fat high starch diet? Raw veganism? Fruitarian? Asian style rice, noodles, and tofu? If it's all of the above, what do you eat the most?

I'm a raw vegan chef and can bust out some bomb ass gourmet shit. I prefer raw foods when it comes to vegan cuisine, but you have to watch out with eating too many nuts. When I eat cooked vegan food I end up gorging on too much rice, pasta, potatoes, and the such. My brain doesn't have a shut off stop mechanism when eating these things.

I prefer a balanced raw omnivore approach to diet. Raw meat, raw veggies, and raw fruit.

It's mostly bloodflow bro for erections.

Keep in mind a lot of these "Carnivores" also likely neglect cardio, consume beer (STRAIGHT UP ESTROGEN. FACT.) and consume meat injected with all the bovine growth hormones.

But abstaining from animal flesh; a known source of saturated fat, plenty of vitamins, ZINC, and cholestoral that is a predecssor to the hormone? No thanks.

As NorCaliblunt mentioned, a combination of raw meats and lots of vegetables some whole grains might be best.

Saturated fats from animal meat/flesh SIGNIFICANTLY RAISE LDL which has been shown to have a DIRECT relationship towards the onset of Cardiovascular diseases/CHD/etc. It has also shown to have a relationship with PLAQUE size, that clogs arteries and inhibits blood flow. This is why meat eaters have weaker erections when compared to their higher testosterone vegan men.

Relation Between Progression and Regression of
Atherosclerotic Left Main Coronary Artery Disease and Serum
Cholesterol Levels as Assessed With Serial Long-Term (>12
Months) Follow-Up Intravascular Ultrasound

Background—The relation between serum lipids and risk of coronary events has been established, but there are no data
demonstrating directly the relation between serum low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol and high-density
lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol versus serial changes in coronary plaque dimensions.

Conclusions—There is a positive linear relation between LDL cholesterol and annual changes in plaque size, with an LDL
value of 75 mg/dL predicting, on average, no plaque progression. HDL cholesterol shows an inverse relation with annual
changes in plaque size.

Yes, everyone has known that for a long time. Has anyone heard that chemical compounds are used to create artificial rays, which influence current emit light waves of a certain length and, accordingly, a particular color, imitating the sun's rays? In cosmetology, blue, red, green, and orange are the most commonly used colors, each penetrating a different depth of the top layers of the skin and solving various problems. So Scottsdale hormone therapy (https://www.xcellr8.health/body-sculpting/) accelerates regeneration processes, stimulates collagen production, increases elasticity, fights bacteria, evens skin tone, and removes toxins.

They're missing critical levels of natural proteins and vitamins. If your ancestry were meat eaters, no amount of tofu or whey can supplement real organic chicken, beef, fish etc. Its not natural.

Everything in moderation.

Never understood the hard and fast stance on completely removing something from your diet. This is a diet that your ancestors ate for centuries.

The Mediterranean area of the world has some of the longest living people, and has a great mix of different meats, veggies and healthy fats.

There are great vegan meals I've had, but in general they taste stale and boring.

Did anyone bother to read the study?

Just glancing at it, they separated 750 peoples blood samples from Oxford UK in 1994-1997 into 3 separate groups (meat-eaters, vegetarians, vegans) and excluded some people leaving a total sample of 696.

The meat-eaters were older, fatter, and had a greater alcohol % than the other two groups... the vegans were the youngest, weighed less, and had less alcohol.

The average meat eater tends to have a poor diet, processed meats, sugary foods ect..

Whilst being vegan implies that you're very concious of what you eat so organic natural ingredients, no junk, and lives a healthier overall lifestyle

It's not that eating meat lowers testosterone but having a bad diet and not taking care of your body that does

Have any of you meat eaters ever met a vegan before? For the few that have - do you legitimately think they have higher T than you?

High T is associated with exercise, red meat and eggs, and healthy vitamin and enzyme levels.

The idea that Vegans have higher T than non-vegans is beyond laughable... The only things that Vegans have high levels of is soy and stupidity

Did anybody actually read the study linked in the OP? I just glanced at it... based on the sample groups, its obvious that this study was intentionally designed so that they could report this specific outcome. Hilariously, their data actually proves the exact opposite of what they are claiming here.

The meat eaters examined in this study had an avg age of 52.8, while the vegans had an average age of 42.9. Its not an accident that the shysters who wrote this study have a meat eater group that is so much older than the Vegan group - most men lose about 1% of their testosterone per year starting around age 30, so obviously the average man in his mid 40s is going to have significantly more T than the average man in this mid 50s.

Also the meat eaters they examined were on average ~25 lbs heavier than the vegans, and excess weight inhibits testosterone production as well. Adjusted for BMI, the meat eaters only had 6% less testosterone than the vegans (despite being 10 years older and 25 lbs fatter), and adjusted for BMI the meat eaters actually had HIGHER testosterone than the vegetarians (who also had a big advantage over the meat eater group in both age and weight).

The really damning thing about this study is right in the opening summary "there were no differences between diet groups in free testosterone". For those of you who dont know the difference between bound and free testosterone, free testosterone is testosterone that is available to the body for use - free testosterone is responsible for the development of facial hair and deepening of the voice during puberty, and its the form of testosterone that boosts muscle development, mood, sex drive... etc. If this study is accurate and the meat eaters they looked at really did have the same free testosterone as vegans who are 10 years younger and 25 lbs lighter, the real conclusion of this study is that meat eaters in their 50s have the same free testosterone levels as non meat eaters who are 10 years older and 25 lbs lighter!

I think it's obvious that all meat eaters should rethink their lifestyle, especially men. There are many reasons you shouldn't eat meat, but if the testosterone level is the major important thing in your organism, and you'll quit, that's ok too. I've been vegan for 12 years already, and my organism never craved something because I have a balanced and great diet that allows me to be healthier than most people in my social circle. I go to the gym 2 or 3 times a week and feel like the strongest and healthiest person in the world. Also, I take SARMs to build muscles, which is great for facilitating recovery from exercise too. I order it on behemothlabz.com (https://behemothlabz.com/product/arimistane-liquid) and strongly advise for those who also want a healthy and good-looking body.
