Shaq to Heat?
Malone definitely doesn't retire, they don't trade GP for cap space/picks (but rather for another proven vet), and Laker ride continues maybe.
Bynum to 6ers, Dwight to Lakers/Nash to Lakers for picks.
Bynum misses the whole year and the Laker tank starts a year early. They'd be back in the playoffs by now.
Obviously Harden to Rockets for peanuts.
OKC makes another push without being over the tax line since he had another year left on his rookie contract. Probably win the chip. Then decide to keep him or Serge at the end of the year when the tax implications would actually matter.

James Harden trade
Lebron to the WC.
Just let the east die a slow, painful death and we can cut the season in half. Or play twice as many high stakes games.

Gasol to LA - Would Kobe have left? How would his career be looked at now?
KG + Allen to Boston - LeBron might've finally got out of the East with the Cavs and faced Kobe in the finals.
God I wish we never traded for Rudy Gay.

Sampson for Portland's 2nd pick in the 84 draft (and Clyde Drexler).

Correct me if im wrong, but wasnt it the Mo Williams to clippers trade that ultimately netted them Irving? If that never happened, do you think lebron still returns to CLE without an established player like kryiie there?

Cp3 to the Lakers, my dude Stern would agree with me on this.

Shaq to the Heat. Had he stayed with the Lakers, who knows how many more championships him and Kobe could've won. Many things could have been different in the future. Wade wouldn't have won a ring in '06. Maybe the Spurs wouldn't have gotten to the finals in 05 and/or possibly 07. Lakers wouldn't have gotten Andrew Bynum. Detroit would be in the '06 finals... you can list out a bunch of things.

Not only that, but the Clips would have Irving and Griffin as a duo. Does CP3 still go to the Clips, or is the trade reworked with the Lakers because LAC already has a star PG?

You are correct. The trade was absolutely retarded on the Clippers side for a number of reasons.
1) You always top 3 protect a pick. It's unheard of not to do that. Really, really stupid.
2) A lockout was coming. Davis' salary would be pro-rated for the half season or removed completely due to no season. Why trade him and the pick for savings?
3) A new CBA was coming. Last CBA had the amnesty clause. You really think there wouldn't be a new amnesty clause in this new CBA? Just wait for the CBA, then use Amnesty on Davis and keep the damn pick.
Super fail from any angle.

pretty obvious its kobe to lakers
if the trade never happens then the original hornets never leave
the bobcats never exist
the pelicans never exist
the lakers dont win anything ( kobe saved 2000 WCF game 7, without him theres no 2000 title, and taking away 29ppg or 27ppg from the next 2 playoffs would have killed LA aswell.. )
lebron went to miami cause of the lakers winning in 2010. he directly related it to the lakers team effort in game 7
no lebron in miami = no rings .... so in a way lebron owes kobe his 1.5 titles
michael jordan never becomes the first athlete to 1 billion. since he lost most of his money to his wife. and only got to 1 billion due to the clippers sale and his franchise going up 500 million in value
jordan likely never ends up owning a team without kobes trade to LA
chris paul never goes to the hornets or clippers
so many other things change... draft picks... free agents. everything swings

Can't really complain about the results though, they got CP3 in the end.
Irving + Griffin sounds good, but not as good as CP3 + Griffin.

That's debatable. The trade could have been for a different piece, or they could have kept and developed Gordon and Aminu. Maybe Gordon never gets hurt?
Maybe they trade for Harden instead of CP3? Irving, Harden, Griffin? That's a hell of a core.
Or just trade Irving for CP3 and keep other assets for use in other trades. Maybe they get in the Dwight mix. Dwight Irving Harden Griffin? Yikes.
Honestly, it changes a lot and they most likely would be better off from the flexibility alone.

I guess the Clippers never even dreamed of getting the 1st pick that year lol. Even if they did, I could see them picking Derrick Williams or something over Irving :lol

They'd never have the assets to trade for Melo in that case. You gotta look at the whole picture.

Carmello staying with Denver or Knicks signing him as a free agent instead of a mid season panic deal - Knicks may have rebuilt and could be a relevant big market destination right now or they could have kept their depth while also acquiring Melo, either way I think they would be doing well in the East right now and Lebron may not have had as easy a path to the finals.

For impact, probably KAJ to LA. Changes the entire 80s. Where is the NBA today if there isn't that Lakers-Celtics rivalry during that time? My guess is not as well off. That or Russell to the Celtics.

Lebron maybe never gets drafted by the Cavs.

The Cleveland Cavaliers agreed to a sign-and-trade deal with the Miami Heat to acquire the rights to five future draft picks and receive a traded player exception for free-agent forward LeBron James, Cavaliers General Manager Chris Grant announced today. Per team and league policy, terms of the contract were not released.
"This deal provides us with multiple key assets and additional flexibility as we move forward for both the short term and beyond," said Cavaliers General Manager Chris Grant.
