Was just thinking about starting a thread similar.
Did they always offer single games for 7 bucks or is this the first year?

i just peeked at it too. odd that its down. but yea, it's a great site that streams (live or on demand) EVERY game for EVERY team (no black outs). I think its around 90-100 a year, but that includes summer league and preseason games.
Can stream on your computer, phone, roku, ps3, xbox, etc.

"NBA fans who want to watch out-of-market games that are not on national television can now do so by the game.
The league will announce Wednesday that, for the first time, fans can pay $6.99 to buy any NBA game next season. Fans will be able to watch the game on television if they have a carrier that gets NBA League Pass -- DirecTV, Dish, AT&T, Comcast, Verizon, Time Warner and Cox, among them -- or on broadband for computers, tablets and mobile devices.
It is not clear which distributors will participate in offering single games.
In the past, fans could only buy all out-of-market games for the season, but this year, the league is also offering a team package, where a fan who lives out of the primary market can get all the team's games for $119.99.
The price for the full League Pass -- which has been available since 1994 -- will remain $199.99, but even NBA commissioner Adam Silver admitted in March at the MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference that "most people don't want to consume that many games."
There are no immediate plans to sell pieces of games, like allow a fan to buy the last couple minutes of a game by clicking on a link within their Twitter or Facebook timeline, but that could be something the league will look at in the future.
The pricing announced is for U.S. fans only. League Pass is available in more than 200 countries, according to the NBA.

Ballstreams is great. I used it all last season. It lets you freeze your account to, thus extending your subscription for free. I froze mine right after the NBA Finals and it'll kick in the first game of the season. No blackouts either, which makes League Pass useless in my opinion.

There are a ton of streaming sites on the internet.
Why anyone would pay for league pass is beyond me.

I have heard that the streaming sites offer views that leave a lot to be desired, such as backboard cam views, etc, rather than the typical sideline view. Is that correct?
My girlfriend and I want to get rid of cable, but she wants to still be able to watch NFL games, and I still want to watch NBA games.
Streaming NBA is easy, though the aforementioned question looms, but streaming NFL is more difficult. Any ideas there?

Ballstreams referral link for anyone interested... I've used it for 2 seasons, you get access to everything for half the price of NBA.com.

Because it is easier to flip a channel and watch another game than try and stream it? Or the ability to switch back and dorth between games?
Or some do not want to be tethered to their computer/device while a game is on......
