jimmer fredette wasn't consider top talent, dude was going to drop way low if it wasn't for the kings

They're both white and unathletic (relative to their sport)

And one has diabetes

Nothing went wrong. It's just you usually don't take white unathletic players that high unless they have a special talent you know will make them successful in the league.

As a scout, there's nothing worse than seeing a white unathletic shooting specialist. Almost guaranteed to flop in the league.

**** a Fredette, **** a Morrison, and **** a Stauskas ....

All bums.

Nobody expected much from Jimmer

Adam Morrison. Idiots were comparing him to Larry Bird.

While on the other hand Jimmer was supposed to become what Stephen Curry is today.

Fredette still has time to be a serviceable bench player in the NBA. Morrison was a huge disappointment. I thought he was going to be an elite player in the league.

Morrison was never the same player after his freak injury. I thought he had a chance to be really good and he showed some flashes in his rookie season. Funny he still ended up with 2 rings.

It's funny because JJ Redick was as big of a college star as either of them and now is a high minutes starter. Biggest difference? JJ worked on changing his game and adjusting it to be a high caliber role player. Morrison you can site injuries and his diabetes, but Jimmer should've just studied how JJ adjusted his game and done the same. He's a great shooter and has all the confidence in the world. He should be spending more time learning how to play off ball and moving to open spaces.

morrison obviously didnt had the best conditions for being an all-star calibre player with his diabetis...at least in long term this malady prevent you from developping your full strength at this ridiculous high nba-level.
but i honestly dont now how it affected him during his first 2 seasons.... it just seemed that nba.level defense was just a little bit to hard to handle for him.

Morrison

People want to attribute diabetes for Morrisons lack of success but the facts are he was too slow and didn't improve in other areas. He couldn't defend. Getting his shot off quickly become difficult when he came into the league. He also never figured out how to contribute when his shot was not dropping. Overall, many things about his game caused a unsuccessful career.

Morrison. As others said Jimmer was talked about as possibly being able to transition in to the NBA but analysts still doubted if he could even stick around in the league.

Adam Morrison was the bigger disappointment, based on his skill set.

He wasn't gonna be an elite player or remotely close, said it before he entered the league... Yet some people were comparing him to Bird and such :facepalm

But people majorly blaming it on him being a type-1 diabetic have a vague idea on what they're talking about...

Then you already have like 10 posts here and only one mention of his tore ACL... That's the main reason he didn't stick around for long.

Ammo showed some potential in his rookie season, had some nice runs, at the beginning he was even the main contender for ROY...
Then when he was cooling off and going through the motions, he suffered that very serious injury and ended up on a contender that had no use for him; pretty much done there...

Imho, he could've been a solid player in this league if he didn't tore his ACL, even if he was too inconsistent, even if never seemed like a very hard worker...
A rookie doesn't score 30 points on .687 TS% against a top10 ranked defense by chance, ijs, for example.

Not disappointed with Jimmer because I expected absolutely nothing from him.

Neither for me.

Morrison was a 60's-80's player playing the wrong decade.

Jimmer was never going to amount to much.

Jimmer is more disappointing. Morrison had athleticism issues, diabetes, and a major injury holding him back. What's Jimmers excuse? He was supposed to be this deadeye shooter who could hit from anywhere. What happened?

I think Jimmer needs to be given Ben Gordon like freedom to score. However, he's often more used as a decoy or teams are trying to use him to spread the floor.

His game heavily relies on him having the ball in his hands and going one on one. He's not being given that opportunity in the NBA. I can see why, he's a 6'2" shooting guard who relies on his strength and crafty moves instead of speed and jumping ability.

Pretty much this.

I mean, you give Jimmer the green light and he can get you 18ppg, he's going to shoot 33% and let his man score 25 though.

He could plausibly fit as a poor man's JJ Reddick, problem is he's too small and slow to guard anybody so he really can't even fit that role. JJ has turned into a pretty solid defender and has alright size.
