Best ending/closeout to a TV show ever?

I mean, Breaking Bad has 62 episodes, of the last 6 episodes, FIVE are among the 8 highest rated episodes (via Imdb).. thats crazy.

Anything similar to that? Anything that comes close?

6a of The Sopranos was a little weak compared to the rest of the show, but 6b was very strong.

The Second Coming, Blue Comet and the finale (Made In America) is a near-unbeatable run. Ending is great too.

Breaking Bad had Ozymandias, which was undeniably great, but Granite State and Felina weren't really that good. But the sense of finality got everyone hyped.

Nahh man... Felina was the final itself and I was shaking throughout.. Granite State might fit your description a bit better, but it was still 9+ to me. If that was true more shows would have that good final episodes, but not everyone can get that sense of closure to such high levels like BrBa did, imo.

Not many shows end well. I think breaking bad worked because they had always planned to end at that point where as most other shows just end when cancelled or someone decides to leave so it doesn't feel as well planned out. I'd say the UK office is good if you include the christmas special

Six Feet Under had a very good ending. Probably the most satisfying ending out of all the shows I've loved over the years.

Dexter will be back. Michael C Hall has said he would come back as Dexter if the script made sense.

Breaking Bad is so fukcen overated its unbelievable. In the last episode Walter White built a fukcen transformer (The bullet shooting car) in less than a day. Half the sh!t that happened in that show belongs in a James Bond film.

That was one of the sillier scenes. Everything had to be just perfect for it to work and took a lot of foreknowledge of how it'd play out. Still one of my favourite shows.

swear i came in to say something exactly like this. larry has every right to resent the critics after they lambasted that spectacular hour. especially coming back from the grave to write it, after the puero rican day parade aka the worst AND most expensive episode of the whole damn series

obviously in the same sentence you gotta mention curb.. err except they went a season too long. season 7 would have been fking perfect but larry's command of timing was never at the level of his mad scientist comedy
