The east is stacked in terms of who will make the lottery.

Have the top 6 teams in the NBA ever been this good?

NBA is laughably good since 2014 really... I'd say 2014 since HOU joined the list, GSW/LAC took the next step.

The sad thing is that teams will be upset that they can't get a record as bad as another teams.

Spurs are clearly #1

Warriors and Clippers look scary

Thunder depends on how KD comes back, but it will be scary for sure if he comes back 100%

Rockets tho...Not on the top tier level IMO

I don't recall any time where 5 teams have a legit chance at going all the way. Usually, there are 2-3 teams that are elite and a couple who are just below that. But I wouldn't be shocked one but if any of these teams go all the way. The talent, at least on paper, are all very close. It's going to come down to some luck, avoiding injuries and some clutch plays in crucial situations. Hopefully, every team stays healthy.

6-10 are much weaker though. The west is more front loaded but not as deep as in the past.

You never know if teams like Kings and Pelicans can step up and become a force to be reckoned with. Even Jazz and Timberwolves can get pretty good.

Yeah looks like the cba is working, just about every team has a shot at the playoffs. The only team clearly tanking is the sixers.

I don't think you know what clear cut means, none of them would be clear cut favourites against Cavs

Teams always looked stacked in the offseason...

Wait for the season and see how injuries play out and what squads actually gel and what not.

I seriously doubt one person on this board picked Golden State and Atlanta to be the number 1 seeds last season.

2004-05 Western conference was pretty stacked.

Nash Amare Marion Suns
Duncan Manu Parker Spurs
Yao McGrady Rockets
Dirk Finley Stackhouse Mavs
Webber Peja Bibby Kings
Ray Ray Rashard Sonics

All these teams were 50+ Wins

how are the rockets not in the same tier? they made the WCF last year. Clippers got that much better adding Josh Smith and Paul Pierce? Memphis gets no respect either

Am i the only one who thinks the Clippers, Rockets and maybe the thunder are closer to paper tigers than legit title contenders???

The Clippers have established a long track record of falling short of expectation but every summer people believe in their stock only for them to be disappointed the following spring.

The Rockets track record of being a good team is pretty thin but a WCF appearance is a great jump off point but feel like

the 07 Jazz
09 Nuggets
10 Suns
13 Grizz

Than a perennial WCF caliber team. They feel like they should be a notch or two below the legit contenders.

The thunder have a lot of questions in terms of make and how all the new and semi new faces mesh together but my biggest concern is their health holding up. The Thunder need to reestablish them selves before they enjoy contender status.

This right here. Posters here are like ESPN without the pay check.

Don't forget the lakers. Other than a weak spot in SG, the other positions are solid. Hell, they have a future HOF-er in the PG position.
