View Full Version : Does Kobe secretly hate the Lakers?

1. First off he drove Shaq away instead of keeping him to help the Lakers win a lot more championships (Kobe and Shaq with good role players may eventually win 4-6 championships)

2. Kobe asks for so much money that he practically cripples the Franchise the last 2years. (Lakers likely compete for championships if Kobe accepted a pay cut)

3. Kobe drives away Dwight Howard (who could have helped Lakers compete as he and Harden went to WCF this year)

4. Kobe drives away Pau Gasol (who became all-star starter after he left Lakers)

5. Kobe disrespects other NBA superstars in meetings like LMA, Carmelo, Howard etc.

6. Kobe continues to ask for money to cripple the franchise and ruin the confidence of new prospects on the team

7. Kobe continues to take many shots on his team despite knowing that it will take a lot of effort (which he could save for defensive purposes) and knowing that it will cost them more and more games.

Looking at all these signs if Kobe did not drive away Shaq thats another 3 championships and if he took a paycut and took a back seat like Timmy did thats another 2 championships (keeping dwight and signing another star). Man Lakers could have another 5 championships and Kobe could have 10 championships to his name and be recognized as GOAT but instead he chose to destroy the franchise which has looked after him so well . What a shame and I am a lakers fan since 88.

Kobe was offered the contract he didn't ask for it and he clearly wanted both gasol and Howard on his team. He knows he needs help and welcomes it.

I'd understand if he would be pissed that in today's era it would be impossible for a high profile franchise superstar to swap teams in hopes of an easier road to a championship. That road would instantly garner major scrutiny.

Kobe didn't ask for shit.

If Kobe were to ask for something, he would have asked for a max extension, which would have been 33 million then 36 million. He was gracious enough to take 22 then 25 for his final years. What a nice guy.

Kobe had beef with Shaq no matter which team they were on.

Gasol lost faith in Laker's FO and it was D'Antoni's system that drove him away.

Lakers offered him the contract.

Kobe's thick skin and bluntness rubs some people the wrong way like Howard and LMA.

Kobe's desire to win will always be greater than any hate he has for a team. He'll rather ask for a trade or sign elsewhere than wasting his time trying to troll the Lakers

stupid.

Not hate. Care Kobe does not. Only love for self. Driven by ego he is.

I doubt it. He's a man who knows his worth and his value to the organization. He sells merchandise and puts butts in the seat. Now he probably doesn't care for Jim all that much.

This is FALSE

Kobe did not RUN Shaq out of town, Shaq demanded 30 mil/yr at age 32 (he went off to only have one more #1 worthy year in 05 before Wade took over) and Kobe wanted his money and wanted to be the leader (he was above Shaq in MVP rankings for the 2nd straight year).
