Synergy Sports Tech @SynergySST 30 minutes ago:
Shabazz Napier fell in the 88th %ile of all NBA players scoring 1.05 PTS per jump shot, but in the 5th scoring .68 PTS per shot at the rim.
I think Napier can absolutely be a starter in the league.
Hope he gets some run in Orlando.

Magic are in win now mode since they are in the East. They should be an interesting team to watch.

Essentially got him for nothing. Decent move. I think he sucks dick though.
Tyler Johnson is better than Napier, based on what transpired during the season. Wish Chalmers got the boot, though.

Don't know how many minutes he'll get in our rotation and I was never as high as some on him but for that price it's a no brainer deal. Didn't think his stock is this low either, the sentinel is reporting that Orlando is being given cash and it's unlikely miami will ever see the pick.

we had like an 18 man roster, are people really surprised by this?

Yeah we gave up that Portland pick that was never coming apparently. Miami essentially gave him up for nothing.

ProfessorMurder to continue not caring about Shabazz or the Magic.

I get them dumping the salary and roster spot like they wanted, don't get how no other team wanted him and they had to give us a cash as well. Appling will probably be waived now

Got him for nothing.
It's always good to stockpile young talent.

Protected second round pick? Why would anyone care about protecting a second round pick?

Happy to get rid of Shabazz. He was awful as a rookie. Good deal for the Magic to get Shabazz for a 2nd rounder after the HEAT developed him somewhat. Overall, completely insignificant.

Appling will just be in the D-League imo. No need to waive him

depends on roster spots but i believe his contract is only guaranteed for a small amount any way. Feel bad for the guy if he is waived after training camp, he's put in a couple of years of solid work and thought he'd gotten a spot.
