[QUOTE]
French social networks exploded with anger after a young woman was reportedly beaten up by a gang of girls and young women for wearing a bikini in a park.
Authorities have not identified the attackers but most commentators have assumed that they were Muslims.
Protesters organised a demonstration in bikinis and other bathing costumes in the park where the attack occurred, in Reims in northern France. Although drizzle and cold winds meant only about a dozen people turned out, hundreds across France responded to a Twitter appeal by the anti-racist organisation SOS Racisme to post images of themselves or others wearing skimpy bathing costumes in public places, under the hashtag #jeportemonmaillotauparc (I wear my swimsuit in the park).
The five attackers, aged 16 to 24, were quickly arrested and the three oldest have been remanded to appear in court in September, while two girls aged 16 and 17 face further questioning. The authorities have not named them but said that they all came from housing estates with large Muslim populations.
It is not yet clear whether their unnamed 21-year-old victim was of French or north African origin. She was sunbathing with two friends in the Parc L

As a human, I believe that women should have the right to wear bikinis and not be physically harmed.

They seem to be far more anti-muslim.
They seem to be far more anti-muslim.
I've noticed an uptick in anti-muslim sentiment in France in the last two years or so.
France is fighting back with their 'can't pray in the middle of the street law' (not sure what they actually called it).
Should be interesting.

Europe is a beautiful country that is welcoming to all people and faiths who hail from unfortunate and impoverished lesser areas of the globe. Europeans would do well to adapt these new immigrants' beautiful and loving cultures which of course are all superior to European culture. If it wasn't for the Muslims, Europe would not have the number zero and math and Europe would never be what they are today.

Yes. My country, Europe, has traditionally been the centre for free-thought in the known world. We need strong European ideas in this world to be fused with exciting new African, Asian and Middle Eastern ideas, in order to create a more beautiful world.

She's not beat up for wearing bikini. Wearing bikini only got her verbally abused. She's beat up because she must've shouted back something nasty.
I mean for instance if a black person said "hey you shouldn't be wearing bikini there are kids around. Have some shame." then you say "Shut up you n!gger slave porch monkey all of you can go back to the jungle." then...I'd say you kinda ask for it.

Turkey is a beautiful nation with a strong and proud history of cultural beauty. I believe that Turkey is the centre of the world and should be welcomed with open arms in to the European fold. Their stand against imperialism, misogyny and islamophobia should be applauded. Turkey is a glowing standard of everything that Europe can hope to one day achieve.

Yes. The imperialist privileged woman deserved the punishment she received. By the very act of wearing a bikini, she was oppressing everyone who walked by. Her 'assailants' are in fact the true victims in this story.

Which has nothing to do with them bombing the Kurds.
Unless you think because they are bombing the Kurds, they should be high fived.

Of course you have to control your emotion. No one said violence is the answer. All that was said is she's asking for it. The "giver" may not necessarily be in the right.
Think about I'll call your mother a dirty whore repeatedly in front of her face until she's crying while you stood beside her. Is that not...asking for it? Lets see how you react then.

Citizen's arrest?
Sure. If I see someone committing a crime, I will do what I can to stop them. Give it a fancy name or call it what you want, but I think everybody should do the same.
Bounty Hunters? Sure. If you don't pay your bail, there need to be consequences.

Im with ya.
I suppose you are asking for it, but I still wouldn't resort to physical violence unless it was necessary to prevent physical harm.
If a man and a woman were arguing in a park, and he was yelling and saying all kinds of mean things, I wouldn't intervene. That's their business and maybe its normal for them, who knows? The minute you put a hand on her though, then its a different story.

There are plenty of places in Amsterdam where a woman alone will face harassment, much less a woman alone wearing anything other than wide clothing. It's just the reality of poor neighbourhoods where Muslim immigrants and their offspring congregate. This is not just an incident, this is a daily occurrence in big cities in France, Germany, England, Holland, Denmark, etcetera, you can no longer sunbathe in the "wrong" park.
My ex-girlfriend (who is Arabic, which makes wearing tight pants even more provocative to these scumbags) who lives in one of these neighbourhoods gets threatened with violence all the time.

The bottom line is those girls should have kept their mouths shut in the first place, they provoked the whole incident, then they assaulted someone. They deserve to get arrested. You don't stir up shit with someone and then try to justify assaulting them just because they talked back. There's no defending what these dumb bitches did.

The common sense business. If you are the type of person to yell insults at people and then react by pulling a gun if they get upset and confront you then theres something wrong with you. It makes you even more of a savage than them in my opinion

Nobody is talking about pulling a gun because people are yelling. We are talking defending yourself from violence.

Sometimes, you can be killed for simply being in the wrong place (at a McDonalds) at the wrong time (when there are 200 blacks running around).
Carrying a gun has nothing to do with your ability to win a 1 on 1 fight. It also has nothing to do with allowing you to run your mouth when you shouldn't, although I will agree that having a gun will make people be more brazen during a verbal altercation.

Its not even about 1v1 fighting. My point was that if you are provoking someone (even if its in a non physical way) then you should assume the troubles that come with it without having to fall back on using your gun. Its just a coward move. Like the loud mouth that suddenly acts tough when he has his homies to back him up. Perfect example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4HtcwtCjSw

cant disagree with that. But unfortunately this is not how the world works. Its not like we can just pack up all of the criminals and rejects of our society and ship them up to another country and let them deal with it.

How in the hell did you get that out of the story? Did you read it? The girl in the bikini was sunbathing in the park, minding her own business. The fanatical women came up to her and started insulting her first, when she spoke up she was assaulted. Nowhere in the story did it say that a woman in a bikini was walking around looking for people to insult.

Don't worry about how other people defend themselves. Unless you're assaulting people, their defensive options shouldn't worry you.

I did, someone brought guns into the discussion as a way to defend themselves from savages, then he replied that you shouldn't go looking for trouble by insulting someone and then use a gun to get out of it. It sounds like he is inferring that the girl in the bikini is somehow responsible for getting beat up because she said something insulting to these girls who insulted her first.

That's true, but I wouldn't say she was looking for trouble. She was defending herself verbally. The bottom line is you can't go around in a group intimidating and insulting people and then assault them when they respond negatively. Tell me, what group of people have this mentality?

Gun the down? :wtf:
9,999 times out of 10,000 as soon as an attacker sees a gun, they'll back off. That called, ending an altercation where NOBODY gets hurt.
I think in your mind, you think that I'm arguing that you should go around insulting people and if they insult you back, you should kill them. That's not remotely what I'm saying. Personally, if you got the feeling that somebody is getting aggressive, you should just leave. If they pursue you, make it clear that you don't want any trouble. If they still keep at it, then you pull your weapon and DONT fire. Actually shooting is the absolute last resort.
