.
2nd Option:

Veteran Antawn Jamison: 16/8/2 on 49%
2nd Year Scottie Pippen:. 14/6/4 on 48%

3rd Option:

All-Star Mo Williams:... 16/3/5 on 44%,
2nd Year Horace Grant: 12/9/2 on 51%

4th Option:

Shaquille O'Neal: 12/7 on 57%.. 1.2 blk
Bill Cartwright:... 12/7 on 48%.. 0.5 blk

Cavs are superior to the Bulls at every spot - the Bulls weaker cast is part of the reason MJ's 32.5/8.0/8.0 on 54% only garnered 47 wins in 1989, while Lebron's inferior 29.7/7.3/8.6 on 50% got the Cavs 61 wins in 2010.

Lebron's superior supporting cast made up the gap the respective team records.. Weaker competition was also a huge factor.

Varejao 9/8 vs. Craig Hodges 10/3
Delonte 9/4 vs. Sam Vincent 9/5

Hickson (9/5), Zydrunas (7/5), Parker (7/3)......... Paxson (7/3), Sellers (6/3)

All I know is the Cavs had a winning percentage of .232 in 2011 after LeBron left, while the Bulls had a winning percentage of .260 after Jordan, Pippen and Rodman left.

LeBron's impact > Jordan + Pippen + Rodman.

The bolded above is a misstatement of the facts.

The Cavs didn't just lose Lebron in 2011.. They lost 2 other starters - Shaq left and Mo Williams was hurt and missed 2/3 of season.

They also lost Varejao to injury for 2/3 of season, and Zydrunas and Delonte also left.

So the Cavs lost Lebron, Mo Williams, Shaq, Delonte, and Zydrunas.

But keep thinking it was just Lebron, and keep being surprised when this lame comes up short every time.

shaq amd Z retired the year after.

mo williams and Verejao were still part of the cavs when they went on the longest losing streak in nba history

So LeBron + Mo Williams, Shaq (38), West, and Ilgauskas (35) > Jordan, Pippen and Rodman.

Meh, I'll take that.

What I read from this

LeBron made inferior talent perform above the expectations

MJ made superior talent perform under the expectations

That only confirms what we've already known - that MJ needs a ton of talent around him since he minimizes the impact of his teammates without producing equal results

Wow bro, except MJ's team fell from 3-peat dynasty GOAT team, to 0.260

while lebron's team fell from conference finals to 0.240 or whatever it was.

yeah, i'll take that - thanks for making my point and proving my argument quite definitively

completely different topic - this thread partially answers the question posed in the thread you referenced.

in the thread you referenced, the question was how did MJ's superior stats garner a much worse record for his team than Lebron's inferior stats got for HIS team?

this thread partially answers that question by showing Lebron had a superior supporting cast, which explained the higher number of wins achieved by him, despite his inferior stats.

(of course, the rest of the answer is the weaker competition - weaker competition and a superior supporting cast allowed Lebron's inferior stats to produce so many more wins)

Nope, you said none of that in the OP, please don't change the topic.

We were comparing the role players on the Bulls and the Cavs. The fact that the Bulls won at a higher winning percentage without Jordan, Pippen and Rodman than the Cavs did without LeBron tells you that the Bulls had superior role players than the Cavs did.

This 3peat nonsense isn't relevant, because LeBron probably would've 3peated as well if he had Pippen and Rodman instead of old Shaq and Ilgauskas; who would retire the season after, Mo Williams, and Antawn Jamison.

Not to mention Mo Williams and Jamison were present during the 26 game losing streak.
