the clippers just came off b2b chokes in 2014 & 2015.. okc has an excuse because of their injuries, but i think its about time they win something or just move either westbrook/durant - i don't like the tandem as is, but they're still formidable & will always be elite if they're hitting their shots.

for me, its got to be the clippers - as i said, 2015 was an historic chokejob, and for that, i moved chris paul down my list of best pg's all-time

CP3 hits a game winner with a torn hamstring against the defending champs in G7 with time running out. Gets moved down list. ISH, where logic is an allergy.

too bad he choked away a 3-1 lead while playing on a team that was good enough to win playoff games without him..

and then proceeded to choke against an inferior team, without its best player, at home, after being up 20+ points.

in the 4th quarter of that elimination game, he had just 2 field goals BTW

And obvioulsy KD/WB

CP3rd round virgin could not get past the 2nd round for the rest of his life while playing with the monstars and his fans will continue to make excuses for him..

KD will be held to all time great standards while Cp3 is held to no standards because his advance stats are so pretty and he dribbles nice yet gets the benefit of becoming the 2nd GOAT point guard with a single WCF birth according to him brain dead fans

good point. i rank cp3 with nash, kidd and payton. definitively behind oscar, magic & isiah.

does anyone else think okc will move westbrook or durant if they don't make and/or win the finals these next 2 years?

This is the Clippers' last serious shot to make Finals and/or win.. It will be very unlikely in the future as Paul ages and other contenders come into the picture.. (The West could get even worse if, say, the Pelicans become a thing. Or The Kings. Later The Wolves..)

On the other hand, I think K.D. and Westbrook have the most at stake legacy-wise.. People have their minds more or less made up on Paul & Griffin I think, whereas there's still room for K.D. and Westbrook to carve out more legendary territory..

In a weird way tho, the answer is neither, it's the Spurs who have zero excuses..

cp3 never tore his hamstring BTW - and if he did, it was a minor tear that didn't require surgery nor had him sidelined in the big games. as markmadsen said, the clippers won their opening game @ houston without him.

superteam- i agree with you that okc's window is bigger. notice the 2-3 season caveat i put on them? they're younger and haven't had as many playoff blunders as chris paul.

I think Durant will (and should) leave OKC if they don't win next season, especially if they don't get to the finals at least. If he really wants to win he would be stupid to stay in the west. OKC has more at stake.

Clippers are way more stacked and have a coach who has proven what he can do with stacked teams. Thunder is a 2 and a half headed monster, but have more excuse of not having the supporting help. Either way, given health, fans will eat up both teams on ISH if they don't at least get deep in the playoffs.

KD & Westbrook - they've gotten to the Finals and KD has been MVP. Paul and Griffin haven't even been to WCF.

We all know the Clips are a joke.

OKC can still use the injury excuse. If they are healthy thiss year, and they don't win, they have no excuses. More pressure on OKC this season IMO

pretty sure every contender are equally as pressured to win the title...

KD and Westbrook. At this point you know the Clippers are going to choke massively. The only question is how.

CP3/ Griff (CP3 is considered the best PG in the league)

Dur and Wbrook are not considered the best in their positions.

Chris Paul, individually, has the most pressure out of all those guys because he's aging and has a negative record in the postseason as a contributing player.

The Oklahoma City Thunder as a franchise is pressured into losing Kevin Durant, and eventually Russell Westbrook, if they don't win a title this season.

Durant, Westbrook, or Griffin aren't stressed to win a title on the level CP3 and Sam Presti is.

Individually, Chris Paul. He is the oldest, has not achieved nearly what has been expected and has played on a good team. For his legacy, he needs to go deep and at least make the finals to solidfy his career.

If we are talking about duos, I'd say Durant and Westbrook bc it seems like their in the chance of a breakup and if they don't make serious noise, this duo can be done together. Lots of excuses has piled up on OKc as well.

there is less pressure on the clippers to win a title and more on them getting past the second round. i don't think anyone would be that disappointed in them if they lost in the finals, that would be impressive. thunder kind of have to win if they want to make sure they keep durant.

i'd say CP3 and Griffin. They have the better team.

Chris Paul / Lance Stephenson / Autism Rivers
JJ Redick / Jamal Crawford
Paul Pierce / Wesley Johnson
Blake Griffin / Josh Smith
DeAndre Jordan / Cole Audrich

is a godly lineup. most stacked team in the league.

Some people project Durant to finish top 10 all time, he definitely has the most pressure.

Exactly. For someone ISH claims is the best basketball player when healthy, Durant sure does get a pass.

Durant, so far, has literally played with two of the top candidates for MVP last year.

Durant and Westbrook when healthy. They already played in the NBA Finals.

CP3 definitely has the most pressure. He has a stacked supporting cast this year, the best hes ever had in his life. The current Clipper team roster looks like something out of an AAU lineup. CP3 has a two year window to guide the Clippers to a ring. If it doesn't happen it probably will never happen.

Pressure is a word that is misused in our vocabulary. When you start thinking of pressure, it's because you've started to think of failure.

CP3 doesn't have pressure to win a title. His only objective is to get to the conference finals and make it competitive. Only Lebron has the immense pressure of winning it all. Durant won't have tons of pressure until Lebron is visibly declining which is probably the year after this. CP3 is on a lower tier than these two just like Harden.

The only other person I'd say that has pressure is coach Pop. Curry only if they have another 60+ win season.

if healthy, thunder. durant surrounded by stacked team supersedes all. clippers have pretty good lineup. its better then last year. they overachieved last yr. but this yr has to be their most likely. best team paul has ever had. so pressure on him too.
