shirt was cheap tho, and i really liked the look.

some people just like the shirt. OP already said he likes the look. You don't have to be a fan to wear soccer shirts. They're stylish and good fashion.

Speaking of which, I've always bought soccer jerseys since back in the 90s, one of my first was a Ronaldo Kappa Barca, a Zanetti Inter Milan and a Batistuta Roma kit. Edit, I also remember owning a Saviola River Plate jersey along with a Palermo Boca Jrs jersey

Currently, these are the last three jerseys I bought...

That El Tri kit is nice.
I was a kid back then but the Kappa logo always looked to me like a girl spreading her legs from a distance, prolly just the hormones :lol

I like the Adidas shirts, but you gotta be fit to look good in them, not like NFL jerseys.
