since the 5 guys are professional nba players who understand the basics of double-teams, help defense, defensive rotations and can hit wide open uncontested shots, i think they will win

Theoretically I see the stars winning for some reason. I have no scientific evidence.

the team of 5 scores on 90% of their possessions

Stars. Just play zone defense the whole game with LeBron in the paint.

In a game of church ball, only 3 guys on my team showed up (one being me) to a game due to a stupid school dance. So yeah, long story short, we ended up beating those noobs by 10 because we were all 17/18 years old playing against 15/16 year olds. Based on this, I think that the Legends would win over the 5 normal players.

There was a question I think in 05 or 06 ??

Asking Wade and LeBron if they could beat the Atlanta Hawks (back then; not my main point here) 2 on 5 and they both said no. Well, they laughed first because they new it wasn't that serious of a question, but yeah... When you have a numbers disadvantage, you aren't winning.

That is true in most cases, but I pulled it off once as I wrote above. Don't take that as hardcore evidence though, there's a notable difference between church ball and the NBA

The team of 5 could just permanently double team MJ and Magic and let Lebald shoot 39% while always having 2 open men on offense

These guys might suck by NBA standards but they are still pros

Ish these days :facepalm

3 players are gon a get fken tired faster .

5 players could just let one camp on the other end outside the paint and leave 4 to defend. Im 100% sure the 3 players not gonna score every possession considering Lebeta cant shoot outside the 5ft

Would be difficult to guard even the scrub team with three guys. Lots of open shot for them and Magic is not a great defender that can cover lots of ground. But the legend team would not have much problem scoring I think.

Give me Shaq, Durant, Bron and I will take this team. More dominant and versatile offensively.
