Yes Lebron is a good regular season performance ( not surprised at all... U know PED) but a historic great choker in the playoff.

This thread has literally no potential.

Doesn't it get boring just making the same threads over and over and over?

No they can't, but at least they're more MVPs than any other active player has at the moment

4 wins can't replace 4 MVPs either cause they're different things.

They both have the same amount of titles as first option.

the poor mans wilt chamberlain of our era

great in the regular season

epic failure in the post season

not only are regular season mvps worthless due to nash having more than kobe, shaq, oscar, hakeem etc...

but seriously.. players legacies are made in the post season. youre not a great player unless youre a winner

a losing record makes you a loser

period

2 for 6

a 2nd banana ring is someone who is vastly inferior

kobes ranked ahead of shaq all time on most peoples lists...

kobes average over the 3 playoffs combined = 25ppg

shaqs average over the 3 playoffs combined = 29ppg

people can say kobes 24ppg in the finals is much worse. but honestly..

thats more than allot of finals mvps in nba history

kobe and shaq were a 2 man team... at most you could argue 2000 was a 2nd guy ring

2001 and 2002 kobe averaged the all time highest ppg for a 2nd leading scorer

It was still Shaq's team up until the 2004 Finals when Kobe took it upon himself that he'd be first option. We both know how that played out.

What Lebron playoff averages look like in the Finals tho? http://www.thecoli.com/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/sass2.png

Kobe dominated teams that beat Lebron

And before you ****s post Kobe's finals averages, please understand that the teams from the East that Kobe faced in his last two runs both eliminated Bron from the playoffs. So you can't even use this excuse.

Shaq got his numbers and Lakers lost because Kobe played bad.:confusedshrug:

So Kobe actually has to play good to get those chips because the other 2 all star guard could not do it with Shaq.

that is cool and all but Lebron doesn't have the luxury of having another superstar on his roster capable of posting 30ppg in playoffs and constant double teams.

Maybe cuz Lebron has to be the man and he don't want nobody to outshine him by turn other all stars into jump shooters, you remember the 2011 finals?:biggums:

this is like saying Jordan's 1 ring over Pistons can't replace the other 3 times he lost to them..

well, no, it can't.. but in the majority of arguments it's not a significant point..

bottom line is, Heat aren't in the Finals in 2011 without LeBron, ditto 2014 (not even sure they'd make 8th without him that year) and the Cavs sure as hell aren't in 2015 Finals without Bron, or 2009 conference finals (scratch that: playoffs) and losing 4-2 vs. Celts is only two games worse than Kobe's 4-3 that year, while Bron's 2008 4-3 loss is superior to Kobe's 4-2 loss even tho Kobe has a better team... doesn't even mean Bron is better than Kobe either, these are just the way things went... none of it necessarily proves anything... just like Kobe and Shaq losing to a combination of lower tier greats on the Pistons doesn't mean you take the Pistons roster over having Kobe&Shaq... in that one particular year, yeah, but year in and year out?

the fact is, anybody who wouldn't want Wilt Chamberlain or LeBron James on their team in a quest to win a ring... is somebody who understands very little at all about basketball... like, god help this person in talking the effects of specific X and Os strategies if they can't even wrap their head around general impact...
