He's average at best but serving a role on a team like this? Great pickup. He shut down Griffin/aldridge/other quality PFs last year that the west seems to have an abundance of. Decent big to replace Lee. Not too good offensively however.

For sure, especially since they managed to get rid of Wallace as well. Great deal.

Unless GS gave up a 1st, they basically swapped older Lee and his big contract for younger Thompson and his now very acceptable contract. Lee is a better player, but he didn't really play much last season anyway and Thompson is a better defender who has started 75% of his career. Not bad...

This is such a great pickup for the Dubs.

He wil thrive now that he is out of that cesspool of failure of the Kings. He came into the league and put up respectable 12.5 ppg, 8.5 rpg (3.0 offensive) with 1.0 bpg on 47% shooting in his 2nd year.

The Kings have treated him terribly since then (in terms of development) and he's gotten worse.

He has great tools, and should fit in as a great 15-20 mpg player in our system. Got good offensive scoring ability and has true size. Will help a lot against teams with a TT/Aldridge type player in spots (lanky/strong/good players).

If Bogut goes down (which he usually does for a bit here and there) it'll really help to have both him and Ezeli to fill out the center spot to stay the course over the long haul of a season + playoffs.

DAMN.

VERY UNDERRATED pickup. WOW. Thompson is a great PF/C off the bench and can defend at a high level.

This is a solid addition for the Warriors.

Bogut, Ezeli, Speights, Green and Thompson is a nice PF/C rotation.

The young buck Looney will probably be stashed in the D-League.

I always thought he was solid young player when he was with the Kings. Great pick up for the team that needed PF/C depth as bad as any in the league.

If they salary dump Iggy and Bogut next offeseason the this could be their roster:

Curry/Livingston
Klay/Barbosa
Durant/Barnes
Green/Looney
Thompson/Ezeli

Only on ISH can Jason Thompson be looked at as a great pickup. :oldlol:

Is Duje going to make that squad??

I sure hope so. Good dude. I just didn't ever think he was going to stick. He was a 5 year college player that never started a single game.

Looking at their roster there is like NO WAY it happens. Too bad.
