I know ADHD blah blah. Bad childhood blah bla blah. That really doesn't make a difference to me, ultimately humans have to be held accountable for their actions regardless of the hand they are dealt.

That being said, do you think the cop might have handled the situation a little better, even if the kid took a swing at him? If it was my kid, I think it would be a valuable learning lesson of action and consequence, but I realize everyone might not feel that way.

Regarding this situation I'm not sure.


On one hand I say screw the kid. He's a brat. He's swinging at an officer and needs to control himself.


On another hand he has obvious disorders, behavior problems, possible emotional problems. I feel like this shit is the same concept of taking people that have clear psychological problems and simply throwing them in prison where they sometimes come out worse.
