I didn't yet. I'm going to wait several months until the wrinkles are ironed out. I'm happy with 8.1 and haven't had any issues to date. Ain't broke, not fixing it.

Windows 7 is still good to me so I don't see any reasons to quickly upgrade it right away. I'll wait til things settle and all problems are fixed.

How much do you value your privacy?

Skim those two articles, decide how much you care about the potential privacy issues, then decide to upgrade or not. Purely in terms of performance yeah it's worth it, though.

*Thinking Google/Apple/MS can't and don't access your phone shit
*Thinking MS can't access your shit if you have Windows 7/8
:biggums:
These morons concerned about privacy. There is nothing new here. Yes, programs need to have access to your location/contacts/calender/account details if you want seamless integration of certain functions. You can turn it off if you don't like this.
If you are actually that worried about privacy you need to go an entirely different route.

Upgraded two of my laptops.. one core i7 with an nvidia graphics card (windows 8.1 os), the other i5 (windows 7 pro os).. had no issues whatsoever. Well worth the upgrade imo.
Not too sure about the compatibility issues on AMD though.
Anything AMD Radeon HD 4 series doesn't have a win 10 drive. They said they are not making drivers for those products.
Their Radeon HD 5000 series I heard had problems. I have problems with it but it may as well be the computer.

People actually agree to all of this shit by installing win10.
The extend of privacy infringement by MS has definitely broadened beyond win7. Starting with this http://www.itpro.co.uk/data-protection/20457/windows-8-could-be-nsa-trojan-german-government-warns
Win7 definitely seems like the lesser evil.
:biggums:
Win10 will access private files and folder ?
those celebrities better take them nude pics and store it on their laptops n shit

i like it a lot
as for privacy, i think there should be a law that the default setting has to be that you don't let anybody safe any personal information on servers.
users have to explicitly say YES if they want the services which require such data in the cloud
me, personally, i'd say YES to all of it regardless
i trust the Microsoft servers more than my own government, employer or my brother

I won't upgrade because depending on your computer, you may not have the hardware to handle it. It can bog down your computer especially if you have a computer that is 3 years old or so.
It's a way to sell more computers.
They are following the Apple method. They give you a bunch of upgrade which is harmful for the performance of your computer, thus, forcing you to buy a new one.
My damn iPhone that I try to use as long as possible was a victim to these tactics. After so many upgrades the phone became useless because it was lagging and it couldn't handle the new OS.

Well duh, they are a software company.
I agree with this. But they have been doing this forever, this is nothing new. But MS is the only company that gives you the option of using their drivers that works with any hardware (not as they're supposed to but still work).
You also have the option to stay with the old one if you prefer.
