think of it this way
a healthy kobe took kwame/smush/cook to the playoffs 2 straight years
hes not as good as he was back then
but lou williams/brandon bass/julius randle/nick young/roy hibbert/d'angelo russell and jordan clarkson combined are 100 times better than the 2006 or 2007 lakers

Bit of an understatement don't you think? :oldlol:
Kobe might not even be a top 75 player at this point.

a healthy kobe can still average 24/5/5 with only 30 mpg
hes top 10 at the very least. if injured then all bets are off

I remember when Kobe kept insisting that there was no way the Lakers would lose to the Mavs in 2011, even when they were down 3-0.

I mean the answer to these threads is always the same... what do you expect these guys to say?
Kobe before the season: "Oh yea my last season is gonna be a bust. They surrounded me with unproven talent and has beens and winning 30 is optimistic"
or
LeBron in Finals: "Yea I expect to be swept now that Kyrie and Kevin are out"
You get what I'm saying.

Your stanning is unbelievable. Kobe's help was in no way good, but it is humorous that you intentionally leave off some of Kobe's better help, namely Lamar Odom, to make Kobe look even better.

A healthy Kobe easily makes the playoffs.
He's carried far worse in the best conference in NBA history.

i like how throughout the off season the media has shitted on Kobe for their perceived lack of comradery with his teammate..
yet in this article Kobe is complimenting his teammates and all the new free agents we just got and the only thing the media takes away from this is that he thinks they could make the playoffs..

To be fair, he did omit Luke Walton, DJ Mbenga, Vlad Radmanovic and Chris Mihm off the list. :oldlol:

The key word in your post is "carried"; as in past tense.
Kobe is no where near the level he was in 2006; if he was, I'd think LA has a chance at a title.

I love it how haters take snippets of a quote out of context
Kobe was asked if this team can make the playoffs. You think any competitor will say, "uh no, we have no shot." :facepalm
Kobe: "Of course it can. Absolutely. We have talented players in their respective positions. We have some really young players. How exactly will the pieces fit? We really don't know. We are going to {training} camp trying to piece this together just like every other team does. We have to figure out what our strengths are, figure out what our weaknesses are."

Last time Kobe said this was the season that he suffered that major injury. Willed them to the Playoffs but at a price. He's got one more year if he holds true to his word, so he's got nothing left to lose trying to will this team to the playoffs. At the very least, stans and haters alike will be watching and going in uproars in ISH this coming season barring another injury.

He could have said it's going to be a challenge, but I believe in our guys. That's something a real leader like Lebron would say.
By saying the Lakers will "absolutely" make the playoffs he just comes off as an idiot. Baldbe would be much better off if he would just learn when to shut his mouth.

from the link you posted this is the only comment Kobe made about the team
"We have talented players in their respective positions," Bryant said in a phone interview with Yahoo Sports Tuesday. "We have some really young players. How exactly will the pieces of the puzzle fit? We really don't know.
"We are going to [training] camp trying to piece this together just like every other team does," he said. "We have to figure out what our strengths are, figure out what our weaknesses are. And every time we step on the court we are going to try to hide our weaknesses and step up to our strengths."
I realize what the title of the article is but there is nothing in that article that quotes Kobe as saying they will absolutly make the playoffs
