Prime Leo literally shits on prime Cage. Leo robbed of at least 2 or 3 oscars.

cage for sure

he does his own thing

leo is a prude who can't stand the taste of anything not up for an academy award

cage will play a dimwitted criminal in a wacky comedy, a weatherman who people throw fruit at, twins in a meta conscious nightmare, a motorcycle stuntman superhero with a substantial comic book history, a gutsy family oriented car thief, a psychotic suicidal alcoholic on a road trip binge, THE VICTIM OF A PAGAN ISLAND CULT THAT SACRIFICES PEOPLE TO BEES, edward snowden in the latest pop politics biopic (expect something similar to the assange one), not to mention he was in fast times ad ridgemont high and that's all just for starters

leo is a playboy. a smart talented gorgeous all around respected and successful playboy.

but this he ain't

Leo for sure. Cage has some great performances but he overacts so much. Plus DiCaprio's filmography is just >>>>>>>>

Leo and it's not even remotely close.
I enjoyed some of Cage's older stuff, but this comparison is more insulting to Leo than him not receiving an Oscar yet.

Pure acting ability: Cage > Leo (at their best)

consistency, career decision-making and celebrity status management: Leo

I prefer Cage, as his best acting is slightly better, but Leo has managed his career far better.

Other than Cage's longevity, Leo has that man by a landslide. Especially right now, I'd way rather see the upcoming Decaprio movie than Dick Cage.

boom you know whats up

leo is probably a bit disgruntled deep down. he's afraid of new things because he doesn't think they're good enough for him. that's why he stays really close to scorsese who he knows will write characters he can play.

DiCaprio's parents met while attending college and subsequently moved to Los Angeles.[7] He was named Leonardo because his pregnant mother was looking at a Leonardo da Vinci painting in a museum in Italy when DiCaprio first kicked.[15] His parents divorced when he was a year old, and he lived mostly with his mother.

DiCaprio's career began with his appearance in several commercials and educational films. After being removed from the set of children's television series Romper Room for being disruptive at the age of five,[20] he followed his older stepbrother Adam Farrar into television commercials, landing an ad for Matchbox cars at 14.[20] In 1990, he got his break on television when he was cast in the short-lived series based on the movie Parenthood.[21]

shit he was raised on crappy sitcoms satirically mocking the sort of guardianship and guidance he really needed, who can blame him for being such a hamfisted stiff lipped strait jacket of an actor

Yeah that's why some of his best work is in non-Scorsese movies.
I actually think Cage is a horrible actor who hasn't done a decent movie in like a decade.

lettuce be reality, DiCaprio has worked with Spielberg, Cameron, Scorsese, Tarantino, Mendes, Nolan, Inaritu, Boyle, Luhrmann etc.. so the claim that he doesn't try different stuff is bs

Only difference is that all the variety he does is by amazing directors but hey, if you're getting offers from great directors, why turn em down

decaprio is in some of my favourite movies. talented mr ripley, the departed, shutter island, gangs of new york, catch me if you can.

he is the perfect leading man.

but i do think compared to cage, he lacks versatility. in character roles and movie types.

Leo in Django Unchained shits on anything Cage ever did.
There's a reason he's doing garbage movies last 10 years and no big time director has even considered him in any of his movies.

Keep doing garbage like National Treasure and Ghost Rider. :facepalm

I guess to each his own.
It's funny how versatility is brought up here.
I always looked at Cage as a one trick pony. Leo has played different roles brilliantly. Cage in LLV was brilliant, I can't think of three other movies he did well in.

He was okay in Face/Off I guess.
He's actually on my list of shitty actors who received way too much praise for his work.

Leo and Cage are like on the opposite side of the fence to me.
One is an A list actor; the other is a C list actor on his best day. :confusedshrug:

I mean in Lord of War; he looked like a complete bitch, completely ruined a great movie for me. Jared Leto was far far better.
