Kobe is only tough to work with if you don't work hard or at least try to because he expects you to work your hardest every single day. That's why Kobe is friends for life with Pau, Ron, Fisher..they weren't elite tier talents in terms of being GOAT-caliber players but they worked hard and that led to them showing up in key moments, even when they had their struggles and they won titles together.

He's a leader, he expects his guys to work their hardest so they could compete with the best when it's game time, simple as that.

Gasol was a monster in the playoffs
Artest was a former DPOY wing player (very rare)
Fisher is a true vet that was always up to hit big shots
