One of the best horror films I've ever seen, no surprise it's a foreign film.

Maybe their mom before surgery was terrified of them and they wanted to see her reaction?

I definitely thought the mom was the villain.

SPOILER MOVIE EXPLAINED ~~ The boy ( Lukas) is not really alive, he died in an accident and the other boy (Elias) in a way blames himself and is either imagining/hallucinating his presence. (That's the twist but some people can tell from the very beginning that Lukas is in fact not really there) the twin (Elias) experienced a traumatic event ( wasn't shown) and this affected him mentally, thereby after his mom gets plastic surgery he believes it's not really her. I think she got plastic surgery because the accident left her disfigured or something and killed Lukas.. ( that is just a theory) we never find out if she is evil or not. Seeing this movie can be very confusing and some people discover a deeper meaning to it but until then this pretty much sums it up.In the end its the little boy ( Elias) who ends up killing the mother because (Lukas) convinces him to...
