Not gonna lie i kinda did, and let's not forget that emeka average a crazy 15 pts. 11 reb. during his rookie season and won roty over dwight.

Even though he still turned into a very solid player, i wonder how good emeka really could have become without some of his injury problems.

Not me. He was 3-4 years older than Dwight. Dwight had the higher ceiling.

I legit thought Ben Gordon was the next superstar. Hated Emeka he stole ROY from Ben

I did. I thought Dwight would be a bust and that Okafor would average 16/10/2 for a decade.

I remember thinking he was a great franchise cornerstone for the Bobcats. He seemed to be a high-character guy. Hands too stiff to be a superstar, but solid.

What happened to him? Is he still around?

I thought the same of Gordon, especially when he seemed to get better in the playoffs.

Would have been cool if he was the league's first ROTY/6th Man winner.

Okafor looked more like the safe pick, Dwight looked like higher potential but also higher potential to bust.

I did... Okafor was solid just not as mobile as Dwight.

I also thought Caron Butler was going to be the next Paul Pierce.

Nope. You could see some of his limitations, even after a very good rookie season. Tho I was huge on Dwight. Probably to the point of overhyping.

Ben Gordon tho... So on that train. :facepalm Did love him in 2k. He had a weird delay on his shot and it was so easy once you got it down. He was the only guy I could shoot with on team up back in the day when it took 45 minutes to get in a game that wouldn't disconnect. And then you had to hope everyone didn't leave because they got a player/position they didn't want. I remember during winter break I would stay up all night playing team up and would only play maybe 2 games. ****ing 2K servers.

I thought that until Orlando picked dwight #1. Emeka was coming off a great career and title at Uconn while being he best player in the country. He looked to be the safe and obvious pick at 1. When they passed on him I knew Dwight had to be very special bc Emeka was a beast in college.

I kinda did.

My biggest mistake Was thinking Brandon Jennings and Tyreke Evans Were going to be better players than Steph Curry

I feel you on Rose and Beasley. If anything, recent drafts have solidified that the tweeter type of scorers will really struggle in the NBA. Beasley had his way in college bc he was a great scorer playin against smaller players. Never could really fit into a traditional position. Derrick Williams too. A undersized 4 who is too slow for the 3. This is why I worry about Julius Randle. We will see what position if any he fits into.

Nah. He looked like he'd be a good pro and that's it. Dwight appeared to have superstar potential.

Okafor, Morrison and Felton at the time looked good on paper, especially with what they showed in college.

He was, then a back injury robbed him of any athleticism he had.

Right here. I wouldn't last one season as an NBA GM, but it doesn't stop me from pretending I'm capable on a message board :lol
