My 2004 Subaru needs some work done on the rear brakes. I've decided to to a complete overhaul of the front and rear brakes. I bought new brake pads, rotors and calipers for all 4 tires.
How many hours of labor should it take a mechanic to replace pads, rotors and calipers on all 4 tires?
In b4 google, I tried, all estimates were for brakes/rotors and not the calipers too.

Do it yourself.

Do it yourself.
I was going to try but I read that for the calipers you have to pinch the brake line, bleed the brakes and then refill the brake fluid. Sounds tricky.

It's a closed pressure system. If you have the tools, I'd say do it. Disc brakes are much easier than drum brakes.

Listen to the mexican.
If you can learn to do a decent self-paint job, you can learn to do this.
What kind of subaru do you have? I have a 2005 hatchback impreza. Such a practical vehicle.

1 hour, 2hrs absolute max. So easy especially for a pro. As mentioned, you can do it yourself

easy even having to clamp the brake line? etc?
I was reading about doing it and most articles warned about messing with the brakes when you don't know what you're doing. I'd hate to get into a fatal accident due to some brake malfunction.

My paint job car was a 98 impreza outback sport, that car has since been sold to my brother who had to junk it last year.
My current car is a 2004 Subaru Forester XS, pops sold it to me for $2000 a couple years ago.

if u don't bleed the air out of your brakes u won't have brakes and probably wreck your car when u put it in drive. don't do it yourself, make friends with some mechanic or ask one if he does side jobs and he'll be a lot cheaper than a shop. then watch him do it and ask him questions, then try it yourself.
u can also probably go to some junkyard pick and pull lot, ask some guy who is taking out stuff and looks remotely like he knows what he's doing, and ask him if he does brake jobs. a ton of people not even mechanics can do it pretty easy but u shouldnt try it without getting a good look at how its done.
