1. How many Nba teams would you prefer? Give a number (Reduction, Expansion, Maintained)
2. How many games in the Season?
3. Playoffs (Best of 5 or Best of 7)
4. Playoffs (Conferenced or top 16)
5. Finals (2-3-2 or 2-2-1-1-1)
6. Three Point Line (Shortened, Maintained or Extended)
7. Zones Defenses (Allowed, Limited, or Removed)
8. Offensive/Defensive 3 second violation (Maintained or Removed)
9. Hand Checking (Allowed, Limited, or Removed)
10. 5 Second back to basket violation (Maintained or Removed)

12. Flagrant Foul calls (Lessened, Increased, Maintained or Eliminated)
13. Clear Path Fouls (Maintained or Eliminated)
14. Hack a Shaq (Allowed or Eliminated)
* Should be noted that the brief period that allowed limited zones/handchecking at the same time resulted in ridiciously slow paced and low scoring games
Preferences:
15. League stars : (Mostly Bigs, Mixed bag, Mostly wings)
16. Big men lineups: (2 traditional bigs) or (Big and a stretch 4) or (Mixed Bag)
17. Trash Talking ( Allowed or Not Allowed)
Scoring: If you select average clarify what you mean in detail

19. Post scoring: (extremely Prevalent, average or irrelevant)
20. 3 Point shots (Extremely prevalent, average or irrevelant)

1. 21 teams. No need for watered down crap and lots of tanking.
2. 60 - everyone plays each other 3 times, no back to backs. Players are fresher, less injuries, games mean more.
3. Best of 7. I'm only having 3 rounds.
4. No divisions, no conferences, 8 team playoff. Who cares about divisions anyway? Conferences can be unbalanced.
5. 1-1-2-2-1. Why not? Put the back to back home games in the middle of the series, when teams have settled in.
6. Extend 3 point line. Make the mid-game a bit more relevant.
7. Limited zone.
8. Keep offensive and defensive 3 second.
9. Hand checking limited.
10. Keep 5 second rule.
11. Technical fouls lessened. For mouthing off anyway.
12. Flagrant fouls lessened. But definitely if it's with intent to harm.
13. Eliminate clear path fouls.
14. Eliminate hack a Jordan.
15. Mixed bag.
16. Paper/plastic.
17. Allowed. It's a competitive sport not named golf. Bird, Payton Jordan were notorious trash talkers. So was McEnroe and everyone wanted to watch him go off.
18. Midrange - average. The game is off kilter with so many 3s, but extending the line would make it a bit more balanced. Need to make the 3 point shot a little less appealing, and the midrange a bit more appealing. Statistical reasoning for taking one over the other should be the same between the two.
19. Post scoring: average. Again, the game is out of kilter with it being primarily 3 or drive to the rim. Limited zone might help with that. Would be nice to see a more balanced game.
20. 3 pt shot: average. It's headed toward extreme to the point of highly diminishing midrange and limiting post game. The game isn't what it used to be. It's all highlight reel stuff anymore.
21. Isolation: again balanced. It's good to be able to have a game that takes advantage of different players skills from long range shooters to post players to guys who do well in iso.
22. Pick and Roll: same reasoning.

1. How many Nba teams would you prefer? Give a number (Reduction, Expansion, Maintained) Probably 24 - 26, too many scrub teams today on the lowest bracket.
2. How many games in the Season? 82
3. Playoffs (Best of 5 or Best of 7) Best of 5 first round, 7 the rest.
4. Playoffs (Conferenced or top 16) Conference, there's the nostalgia and Rivalry.
5. Finals (2-3-2 or 2-2-1-1-1) I'm used to watching 2-3-2 since the 90s, it felt lame when they changed it to 2-2-1-1-1 Finals format.
6. Three Point Line (Shortened, Maintained or Extended) Maintained, Didn't like it when they shortened it in '95 season.
7. Zones Defenses (Allowed, Limited, or Removed) Old Rules, where big men can camp the paint. Current zone still doesn't allow big men to camp the paint. Useless, that's why it was rarely used by teams.
8. Offensive/Defensive 3 second violation (Maintained or Removed) Remove defensive 3, allow paint camping.
9. Hand Checking (Allowed, Limited, or Removed) Allowed, let em play physical. Guards and wings who's being catered by today's no handcheck will get exposed with hand checking ex. James Harden. No easy drives to the hoops, no easy ft's and you gotta have a jumper and good fundamentals.
10. 5 Second back to basket violation (Maintained or Removed) Removed.
11. Technical fouls (Lessened, Increased, Maintained or Eliminated) Lessened, to much softness in today's NBA, I remember Tim Duncan getting tech for laughing.
12. Flagrant Foul calls (Lessened, Increased, Maintained or Eliminated) Lessened, I want more physical game.
13. Clear Path Fouls (Maintained or Eliminated) Maintained. Offensive player has a clear patch to the basket, let him dunk it or do whatever he wants.
14. Hack a Shaq (Allowed or Eliminated) Allowed, learn to make your freethrows.
* Should be noted that the brief period that allowed limited zones/handchecking at the same time resulted in ridiciously slow paced and low scoring games
Preferences:
15. League stars : (Mostly Bigs, Mixed bag, Mostly wings) Mixed
16. Big men lineups: (2 traditional bigs) or (Big and a stretch 4) or (Mixed Bag) Traditional Bigs for grit and grind action.
17. Trash Talking ( Allowed or Not Allowed) Allowed, it was another recipe that made old school bball entertaining.
Scoring: If you select average clarify what you mean in detail
18. Mid range game: (extremely Prevalent, average, or Irrelevant) Average, mid range is one of the best areas to score when defenses gets tough. Teams with mid range assassins usually wins championship, ie. Jordan, Bryant.
19. Post scoring: (extremely Prevalent, average or irrelevant) Prevalent, you're a big man? go to the post and bang, I hate seeing big men today chucking 3s.
20.3 Point shots (Extremely prevalent, average or irrevelant) Average, it can be a tool, but 3 point chucking is boring to watch.
21. Isolation (extremely prevalent, average or irrelevant) Average, balanced is better as you'll always have a fall back option, when you're team is cold and have a good iso player, go with him, if the iso player is cold move the ball.
22. Pick and roll (extremely prevalent, average or irrelevant) average, can't explain this one but it's one of the most effective offense since the beginning of the NBA.

1 - 20 teams
2 - 38 games
3 - Best of 7
4 - Conference - with only one game home and away the advantage RS seeding East teams get is removed
5 - 2-2-1-1-1
6 - Maintained
7 - Zones allowed
8 - 3 in the key allowed
9 - Hand checking allowed, but how does it mean no FTs and Harden exposed? All it does it let the defender put a hand on the offensive player
10 - 5 second b2b maintained
11 - technicals maintained but change what constitutes a technical
12 - flagrant maintained but see above
13 - clear path maintained
14 - hack a shaq - allowed but do a 1+1 system - if they make it they get another

Well, because it's harder to drive when someone's arm is directing your movement / path. Harder to drive means less free throws.

23. Flopping cracked down on. Enforce technicals and fines.
24. Offensive player is not allowed to jump into a defender after they pump fake them. That's an offensive foul or no call.
Now as part of my contraction to 20 teams:
1. Bucks move to Seattle. Rename them to Sonics.
2. Thunder move to Kansas City. Rename to Kings.
3. Hawks and Knick rosters combined (take best 11). Play in NY.
4. 76ers, Raptors and Hornets combined. Play in Philly.
5. Golden State goes back to being San Fran.
6. Cousins goes to KC.
