I don't really care much for the Finals appearances stuff. But just look at the extremely large amount of playoff games. This guy has played 20 or more playoff games for 5 straight seasons. This guy has had one bad playoff series out of his last 20. He has faced teams of practically every tier, all kinds of defenses and players, with all kinds of supporting casts(terrible to great) and has been the only constant.

Unheard of consistency. May very well be a top 5 postseason player ever. And this is a guy with 4 regular season MVP's playing ridiculous minutes most of his career without missing many games.

2011: Should've won, choke artist :(
2012: Ship
2013: Ship
2014: No other player in NBA history was winning this series with the way his team was giving him next to nothing
2015: I'm surprised he won a game, to be honest. After losing game 1 and then having no Kyrie or Love (or Varejao). How many players could honestly win a playoff game, let alone a series, vs the favored #1 seed, without three of their main starters...

That's like stripping MJ of Pippen, Rodman, and Kukoc. Or even Pippen, Rodman, and Kerr. Ain't happening. So, to the haters, of the 5 years, 3 of them he should've won, so he definitely messed up one year.

But...It's much more impressive to make it to the Finals than be a 1st round exit (Kobe/MJ).

The last person to make 5 straight Finals is ...

Bill Russell? And part of that streak was when there were 9 teams in the NBA...

That's like using a picture of Derek Rose to make fun of a player that gets injured a lot

And to think, Wilt was ranked #4 by Bleacher Report and Kobe was #11 :lol

So, are you complementing LBJ? If so

I'm sure he is happy to hear it

As first option, he's 2-2 in those 5 straight appearances.

At which point of that sentence was I supposed to give a f*ck? :confusedshrug:

I'm saying he's LeWilt Jamesberlain. A hybrid animal. Part mountain lion, part heimlich maneuver poster model.

2/5, 2/6, 4 straight finals appearances, 5 straight finals appearances.

What's the difference?

That has a lot to do with being in the weak East. I wonder if/how many Finals he'd make if he were in the brutal West.

Making the finals is much more alpha than a first-round exit. Bron eliminating teams, breaking hearts, and living rent-free.

Allen Iverson in his prime would have won more championships with the same teams in the LeEast. Lebron James is ranked somewhere below Iverson all time.

you do know the road to the finals doesn't stop in the east, do you?

doesn't matter if you get out of the "Least," Iverson still has to beat the West.

how many finals would he have had if he spent his entire career in the west - like durant, kobe, timmy, dirk, paul...

nobody really knows, but imagine anthony davis in the east - could he not have gone to the ecf or at least the second round just because of his individual performance??? not so in the west!

Remember when Shawn Marion grabbed his crotch and told Lebron to suck his d!.ck on national television? That was pretty much the end of the Lebron story.

Let that sink in.

the last time somebody else did this it was magic in the very weak 80s west ... you don't see too many people complaining about it though. Before that I think it was russell and that's about all the alphas that did it.

People really don't understand how hard this shit is. Compared to these dudes lebron also has an olympic gold in this period, so there's that.

PHX with the 2 time MVP Nash never made it to the Finals.
