Which aging HOF shooting guard will put up better numbers in the coming season?

For reference, in 2014-15 these were their respective numbers:

Kobe - 22.3/5.6/5.7 on 37.3 percent

Wade - 21.5/4.8/3.5 on 47 percent

Who you got?

good question.

even though kobe is all but finished, i trust his work ethic more than i do wade's lazy ass.
kobe will have a decent offensive year this season if he remains healthy. wade unfortunately will continue to decline because of his inability to adjust at an advanced age.

That's debatable.

Wade's mid-range game last year looked as good as it has since probably '06. He shot 44 percent on all jumpers including 3s last year, so it shows that his shot is still capable despite the slowed athleticism.

that's not saying much. wade has always been overrated AF

last year, he was barely a top 15 sg....on offense alone.....

its the best individual measure we have to date.

Yea lets judge players on some worthless stat made up by some basement geek.

Wade had a pretty good season considering all the problems Miami faced but you can still judge him by those "advanced" stats, no one really cares.

Yeah, Iman Shumpert is definitely a better offensive player than Dwyane Wade

where does it say that? imam shumpert is somewhere ~30 on that list, and overall (including DRPM) somewhere in the top 15.

when he's given minutes, shump is actually one of the best defenders at his position.

fpliii has mentioned this time & time again. rapm/rpm is the analytic they look at most.

if you read and educate yourself on how its measured, its really not that laughable. there's a reason teams across the league use it, and more analytics - stuff that would make casuals scratch their head at first sight. :lol

wow what a long article about Wade adding basic things like floater and jab step to his game :facepalm

It shows that only 21.6% of his shots come around the rim which is the complete opposite of some of him Prime Years when he was at the top of the league in shots around the rim.

He also states how Wade attempted 10 FGAs in the Post according to synergy sports and How he already attempted 135 at that point in the Season.

The article doesn't even state that he shot 50% from Midrange in 2013-2014 & 44% on all Jumpers in 2014-2015. His Off-Ball Game is much improved as well.

This thread is a perfect example of why I rarely post here anymore. Anyway, getting back on topic, I actually think both Kobe and Wade are going to have very solid seasons. Wade has a better supporting cast so Kobe will likely have the ball in his hands more often and better raw totals. Wade's efficiency dipped a bit last season but it should come back up with a full season (knock on wood) with Dragic and Bosh. Health will obviously be a concern, but that is tough to predict. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and project them each to play 65+ games.

Kobe: 23/5/5 42%
Wade: 20/5/4 49%

Wade will have the more productive and succesful year but I wouldnt be shocked if Kobe did.

Definitely. I hate seeing all time greats limp to the finish line. I'm a Heat and Wade fan but I've always had a lot of respect for Kobe. They've had some great battles over the years and I know they have a lot of respect for each other. Second and third best SG's of all time. Guys like Harden and Thompson are really good players, but they're not Kobe and Wade. Obviously as a Heat fan I hope Wade has a few more all star caliber seasons left in him, but I'd like to see Kobe put together at least one more great season too.
