a classic old vs new hypothetical battle... traditional pick up playground rules... first to 21pts, 1pt buckets, no 2's

ya got 2 starting forwards from 2 victorious NBA winning teams, both teams have a Finals MVP winner and other individual/team merits so who takes it?

I got Pierce/Garnett 21 - 15

Pierce Garnett would get their points from their better shooting skills and some superior post/upfake skills but Rambis Worthy would get theirs from loads of put backs/2nd chance and resets from majority of the contested rebounds ... Garnett needs to make most of his mid range jumpers for it to work for them 2 whilst Worthy and Rambis need to work the boards

beg to differ?

Easily Pierce/KG...
Rambis hustled all-out, was a great rebounder, good defensive player, good outlet passer, smart and could reach double-digits scoring on very good FG% but he's not even remotely close to Garnett's level as an overall player, even in this 2on2 situation.

And the best post-player out of that bunch is Worthy... Given that Kevin wasn't in his peak as a scorer anymore and wasn't even working in the post as much as previously, in '08.

Better matchup would've been '08 Pierce/KG vs '85 Worthy/McAdoo, and with that said the first duo still takes it.
'85 Kareem/Worthy would've won it though.

Rambis's inclusion makes it a non-argument. There are people on both sides of Pierce vs Worthy. No one takes Rambis over KG.
