Wonder how this will do without a blockbuster star.

No big star but full of strong actors. Boyd Crowder be up in that bitch. It doesnt help that the trailer is underwhelming. Im might be due to most of the film taking place in only a couple of locations. Supposedly a lot of the story is taken place inside that cabin but thats just off the cuff commentary from the net.

Movie looks great, can't wait.

Tarantino borrows heavily yet makes movies that are fresher than every other Hollywood movie out there. How can you not look forward to this when every other movie is a music video geared for ADHD preteens.

Great dialogue and uninterrupted shots that last longer than 30 seconds, hallelujah!

The DVD screener for this and like 7 other movies just leaked. They were out for awards consideration and someone gave them up as usual.

Im torn. I planned to go see it....but I already have it now.

Same here. The Creed and Sicario screeners look great but the Hateful 8 look below DVD quality. I'm hesitant to watch that one for that reason.

I saw the Creed screener and for many portions, the sound quality was off..

Not really excited for this one. The teasing of the story just gives me the vibe that this is more Death Proof than Inglorious Bastards. Tarantino indulging too much in his b-movie fantasies while forgetting to tell an actually interesting story.

Just a hunch though.

Go see it in the theaters, you bunch of assholes.

I'm a huge Tarantino fan. I couldn't wait to see it, but I'll go in the theater to see it again in great quality, and I'll probably buy the DVD.

Looks like it's going to be some self indulgent boring shit.

I think Inglorious Basterds is the last good movie this guy is ever going to make.

i like pulp fiction and all that, but all his movies seems to rely on gore, cursing, and violence just to sell, or am i wrong here ?

The video quality is great which is why I decided to watch it. Maybe you can find a better file than the one I got. There's a few different up loaders putting it up.

Unlike Creed the QT movie looks horrible, so I'll just wait on that one to see in theater as I had planned.

I'm cool with that then. As long as you're supporting it some way. Got to keep some hard edged, non-comicbook/massive blockbusters in theaters. Plus he made it specifically for playing on 70mm. If people live near that and don't go, they suck. I'd have to drive 3+ hours for that.

What was the full running time of what you saw?

I still shudder at "Django" one of the worst movies ever made. I refuse to see anymore of his fa.ggoty crap lucky for him there will always be a generation of 15-year-olds.

You're not wrong. He really is terrible. There are other movies with violence and cursing, like Killing them Softly with Brad Pitt (just to take one example) which are better than anything he's ever made.
