it's hard to believe i'm actually writing this... the fact that the flavors actually match the taste, for once.

this is truly the weirdest stuff i've ever seen in life... the fact that the bullshit flavor from the marketing campaign tastes EXACTLY how it's supposed to.

time to jam a pencil in my eye, that's for sure.

That's nothing.

I once saw some coffee flavored lays.

But did it taste like actual coffee flavored?

When I went back to the store, it was gone.

It was this in a small bag.

Also, seen the sriracha one too, and it was gone.

If you guys see these odd flavors, I recommend getting them and trying it because they won't make them. It's like limited and shit.

shit presidents choice aka loblaws has been doing this for years; blue cheese buffalo chicken wings and salted sweet potato chipotle fries and all these strange marvelous flavours that really don't taste very much different from all dressed and ketchup :lol but they are definitely better than ur typical lays

if u ever see these around, pick up a bag

You're not telling us anything we haven't already known.

That is a household brand.

i dunno sometimes i assume brands around here are everywhere and people are like "wtf is that" but fair enough. still a good brand. loblaws does something similar but they aren't as good. mrs vickie's are the other ones which fall somewhere in the middle.

They should make Pepsi flavoured chips.

It's not going to get any better than the Wasabi Ginger ones so... they should just call it a wrap.

The Biscuits and Gravy ones taste nothing like biscuits and gravy, but are certainly edible.

I bought one of each to see if they match.

Reuben is gross, but matches. you can taste the pickle and rye bread especially (I hate rye bread so that's why I didn't like this).

Biscuits and gravy is pretty accurate, if heavy on the pepper.

The gyro is okay, definitely reminds me of a gyro sandwich, but I think it would have been way better to just have gyro flavor, and not gyro sandwich flavor. Too much of the onion/tatsiki sauce flavor in there.

The truffle fries are going to win. They are definitely the most "generic potato chipy" flavor. I thought they were okay but I'm not familiar enough with the flavor of truffle to say if it was accurate. Based on the others, I'm sure it is.

My vote for the win would be the gravy ones. I think the truffle ones will win however.

You know I would say just any grocery store, but I think that flavor won a year or two ago and I've noticed that they don't seem to sell as many of the older flavors even if they won and taste like a real chip that someone would want to eat.

But I still imagine if I go to my grocery store I should find them somewhere.

It's basically for fun then?

They should legitimately make these flavors permanent.

BBQ, Sour Cream and Original are still the go-tos.

I did a taste test on these three too.

Garlic cheese bread was by far the best. Decently accurate.

I really wanted to love the chicken and waffle because I love the combo in real life, but uck. It was so bad. Tasted like maple syrup mixed with salt or something.

I don't like Sriracha sauce, so I didn't like the chips. But they were accurate.

Garlic cheese bread won. I'd buy them again.

The following year they did the contest again but I didn't realize it. All four sound terrible.

Oddly I think the wasabi ones won.

i remember when the chicken and waffles one first came out. i was at my local albertsons, and the check out lady had an open bag with her. she kept offering them to customers and allowed them to reach their hands in there to try one out. she basically forced me to try some, but to her dismay, i relented. however, my girlfriend took 2, and made me have one. i thought it tasted like shit, but i know thats because i saw all the nasty looking people reaching their hand in there before us, to try the chips out.

thank you, droid and timmy-D,
i don't understand why so few of these flavors become permanent!

like... salt and vinegar is better than these? chesapeake bay crab is better? even straight 'cheddar' is often a pretty foul-tasting chip.

but the one i hope they always keep is sea salt and cracked pepper.

I've only tried the truffle fries one and thought they were pretty good. One flavor not sure why you can't find in America is Ketchup. That shit is awesome!!

7/11 chips are too damn salty.

I only buy them for their variety of flavors and then why I switch back, I will notice Lays have much better quality. The chips taste different with the right amount of flavor.

i picked up a bag of these recently, they are great. tasted kind of like a cross between jalapeno and salt + vinegar.

Do not fear the Wasabi!

I'm telling you guys: the other flavors are gross but that flavor is a legit potato chip.
