Try To youtube Chris webber Missed dunk vs Vancouver Grizzlies. The guy had a clear path to the basket and he tried to tomahawk the jam and hit the back of the rim. He tried soo hard the ball shot back to the opposite end to around the free throw line.

Still remembered like it was yesterday.

Wasn't sick. In fact, it's laughable... But Smoove's between the legs miss is up there, considering a players has made that like what, once in game?

this tho

Maybe would have been Vince's best in an NBA game.

Considered a "miss" because the dumbass ref waived it off as a charge.

If you're going to try to pull a play like that off, it helps to have someone like him on your side.

See to me this doesn't really count because Russ never had any chance of actually making that dunk. He just went up hard because he knew he could draw the foul, but there was always a 0 percent chance of that going in...

You know you can link to a certain time in a youtube video right? Just click "share" and then select the time and copy the link:

Edit: but regardless, that's not a cool missed dunk or anything, you just linked it because it's Kobe.

youre not thinking 4th dimensionally ... a bounce lob between the legs catch dunk in 1997 woulda been the sickest shit ever

vince was the first guy to do it successfully in 2000 and look at the reception he got

youre comparing it to other dunks from todays dunk contests where you need to basically put on a circus/magic show to get a 50

:confusedshrug:
It was a wrong call. Wallace was still moving forward as Evans was already in the air. It also looks like Wallace's left heel is touching the semicircle.

Bean got NO air on that one. Looks like a guy at the rec center trying his best to prove to everyone that he can dunk the ball but not getting close at all. Everybody knows that guy. :lol

Another Vince dunk that he actually stuck but technically it never happened since the whistle blew:

He didn't even touch the rim on that attempt, completely whiffed and smacked the backboard with the ball. :yaohappy:

Here's J.R. Smith once again showing Bean how it's done:

Kobe going from a standstill in the halfcourt while being covered by a defender, then doing it on TOP of another defender. In the FINALS. Against a great defensive team>>>>>>>>>>>a regular season fast break dunk.

He was being covered by the 5'11" 165 lbs Iverson who wasn't even paying attention and then the second defender was in the vicinity but never actually challenged the dunk attempt :yaohappy:

And I'm pretty sure that wasn't the finals...

eliteballer
08-16-2015, 07:23 PM
Kobe had no distance or a running start to gather himself. That alone makes it a superior dunk. Not to mention he had to grab the ball on the OTHER side of the rim.

The degree of difficulty isnt even close.

Doesn't matter if it wasn't the Finals itself, it's a great defensive team that ended up going to the finals.
