wtf was that at the end? I mean he overreacted on the first girl as well, but the end was basically a temper tantrum.

His comedy was in large part about the mediocrity of the American mainstream and he'd often go completely off. It was a part of his set. It's just that these people had it aimed directly at them in this particular clip.

He was also extremely popular in the UK, but never achieved the attention in the US that he deserved... while guys like Gallagher had HBO specials.

He has received the accolades posthumously that he never achieved in life. Excerpts from his act are used throughout Tool's song "Third Eye." His comedy was pretty far ahead of its time.
