Not sure, he had three 60+ games and then the 100 point game, but I'd have to look at the calendar to see if it was the same week, unless you just mean 7 day period.

1/13/62:

48 min., 29-48 FG/FGA, 15-25 FT/FTA, 36 rebs, 73 points.

1/14/62:

48 min., 27-45 FG/FGA, 8-10 FT/FTA, 28 rebs, 62 points

Overall, and within 24 hours...

96 min. 56-93 FG/FGA (.602 FG%), 23-35 FT/FTA (.657 FT%), 64 rebs (32 rpg), and 135 points (67.5 ppg.)

BTW, the first of those games came against 6-11 HOFer Walt Bellamy, and the second came against Bill Russell.

5 game span from 2/25/62 to 3/4/62:

Games of 67, 65, 61, 100, and 58 points (351 total or 70.2 ppg)

And in those five games he shot 134-231 FG/FGA (.580), and 83-107 FT/FTA (.776), with 132 rebs (26.4 rpg.)

BTW, Chamberlain hung five 60+ point games in a six consecutive game span in that 61-62 season.

Then, think about this...

In the 14 years in which Wilt played in the NBA, there were a TOTAL of FIVE 60+ games by non-Wilt players.

The most obvious reasons are, imho;
-nobody else could score as much, Wilt was a great scorer
-it's not effective ball when one player scores as much, so nobody really tried
-Wilt the ultimate statpadder

I remember that season Wilt had a 40 game streak in which he never shot below 50% from the line. This is a nice streak for a center in general (e.g, Kareem's biggest such streak was 42).
I'm curious what style he was using that season. If he used his college one, he should have never tried to change it (which he had, by 1964), he could have stabilized to shooting 60% from the line.

I always have the same thought when people hate on Wilt's era. If it was such a crappy league and Wilt was a scrub how come no one else had these kinds of stats? Too many people act like humans evolved superpowers in the past 50 years and everyone back then was made of jello or something. Were there more short white guys on the court back then? For sure. But dudes could ball back in the day, had no 3 point line and also weren't allowed to carry the ball every time they brought it up court. Wilt would be a top player in today's NBA...think about the career and body he had WITHOUT modern sports medicine.

Excellent points.

I don't have time right now, but we both know he had a very solid shooting form in college (and shot an acceptable 62%)...but there might be footage of him shooting FTs in the '62 ASG, and perhaps you (or I will later) can check his shooting technique in that game.

BTW, as a side-note, he was just too good a FT shooter in his 50 ppg season to pull a "hack-a-Wilt." He not only shot .613 from the line, but he had some amazing stretches (as you and I both pointed out)...including a 28-32 line in his 100 point game, as well as a 64% FT mark in the '62 post-season, and a game seven in the EDF's of 8-9.
