View Full Version : You know things aren't so bad in America when illegal aliens are again the boogie man

That's what is basically driving goofball Trump's presidential run. Just spout out all kinds of nonsense and the rabid right laps it up. Mexico is gonna build a wall and pay for it, yeah right :oldlol:
During the Cold War, the commies were the bad guys, nobody cared about illegals. Then the Soviet Union fell and during the 90s (really good time economically for the US), CA Gov Pete Wilson put illegals on his cross hairs and there was a big national debate. Then 9/11 happened, Arabs and Muslims were the bad guys. No one gaf about illegals. Now that there hasn't been a major attack in the US, and the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts don't grab headlines anymore, it's back to the illegals. Unemployment numbers are low, that's why Republicans aren't really talking about the economy, gas prices are low, no one is talking about that. So it's back to that well again.
Now I'm not advocating for illegal aliens, there has to be immigration reform and everything should be on the table but I'm just pointing out that everytime things are going ok, illegals become the bad guys and get Americans all shook :oldlol:

I don't think a single person in America fears illegal Mexicans over ISIS right now

But ISIS seems so far away, God forbid but if they in the future ever are behind a major terrorist attack in America, illegals will once again be forgotten.

Trump isn't the only one talking about illegals. Bernie Sanders more politely states that the masses of unskilled labor flooding into this country across the border is hurting job opportunity and wages. Particularly in the African American community.
Let me ask you a question. Did your grandparents or parents come here illegally?

No, my dad was a US citizen by way of his grandparents (my great grandparents), they were from Seguin, Texas. They were known as Tejanos, they were there before US citizens were given permission to move into Texas. After the land grab known as the Mexican American War, they were granted US citizenship. The US border crossed them, in other words.
This is a potrayal of Tejanos

Hmmm I thought I've seen you identity yourself as "Mexican". Which is obviously not the case since your ancestry has either lived under the flag of the Spanish or US, since mestizos became the predominant bloodline in Latin America and SW USA. Well except for that 14 year blink of an eye Mexico had it.

Here's the thing though, my great grandparents were US citizens but instead of staying on the US side, they moved to Michoacan where my dad was born, he was a US citizen by virtue of my grandma but she lived most of her life in Mexico, only periodically living in the US when my aunts and uncles were adults. BTW, all my aunts and uncles were born in Michoacan but were automatically US citizens by virtue of my grandma. Most moved to California when they became adults while a couple stayed in Mexico (they were 14 brothers and sisters in total :biggums: ), most of my family on my dad's side live there and most of my cousins are US born. Since we're talking about my family, funny thing is my wife has absolutely no desire to live in the US. As a US citizen, I can get her resident status but she doesn't even want to be here to complete the process. :lol me I can either live in the US or Mexico, I love both countries. That's why I'm only temporarily living here and will be going back to my wife and kids in a matter of months.
There you go, Trump, not every Mexican wants to live in the US :banghead:
That thing about mestizo, what the heck does that have to do with anything? I'm mestizo (my grandma married a very native looking dude, my grandpa, who was a dick tbh) but if all my family were Spanish and moved to Mexico and all my aunts and uncles were born there, we'd still be Mexican, regardless if we we're of Spanish ancestry or mesitzo, Mexican is a nationality, not a race :confusedshrug:

Even the majority of Republicans disagree with Trump's rhetoric, though they're more are in agreement with his stance now vs 2006.
Unfortunately for Trump, the percentage of independents who favor a path to citizenship has increased 3% since 2006.
Pandering to bigots isn't the best way to break through the Blue Wall if you ask me.

So, then you're not a mestizo. You're a castizo.

Bigots? What does it have to do with being a bigot.
I'd love to see millions of white Anglo Canadians illegally cross the border just to see what reason you would have for not deporting them without your disingenuous "bigot" argument to fall back on.

Is the amount of money based on the number of illegal immigrants because Im pretty sure Oregon has a lot more than the north east states or states in the deep south like Georgia.

All studies assessing the impact of illegal aliens begin with estimates of the size of that population. We use a population of 13 million broken down by state.
In our cost estimates we also include the minor children of illegal aliens born in the United States. That adds another 3.4 million children to the 1.3 million children who are illegal aliens themselves. We include these U.S. citizen children of illegal aliens because the fiscal outlays for them are a direct result of the illegal migration that led to their U.S. birth. We do so as well in the assumption that if the parents leave voluntarily or involuntarily they will take these children with them. The birth of these children and their subsequent medical care represent a large share of the estimated Medicaid and Child Health Insurance Program expenditures associated with illegal aliens.
We use data collected by the federal and state governments on school expenses, Limited English Proficiency enrollment, school meal programs, university enrollment, and other public assistance programs administered at the federal and state level. Estimates of incarceration expenses are based on data collected in the State Criminal Alien Assistance Program in which state and local detention facilities seek federal compensation for the cost of detention of criminal and deportable aliens. Estimates for other administration of justice expenditures are based on data collected from the states by the U.S. Department of Justice. General government expenditures are estimated for other non-enumerated functions of government at both the federal and local level. An example would be the cost of fire departments or the cost of the legislature.

I'm pretty sure illegals are as criminally inclined as poor american citizens. The basis of their deportation is being here illegally not some thugs committing crimes.

PJ Media obtained a never-before-released copy of a Texas DPS report on human smuggling containing the numbers of crimes committed by aliens in Texas. According to the analysis conducted by the Texas Department of Public Safety, foreign aliens committed 611,234 unique crimes in Texas from 2008 to 2014, including thousands of homicides and sexual assaults.
The report describes an alien crime wave of staggering proportions exacerbated by federal officials unwilling to enforce immigration laws.
The Texas DPS report says well over 100,000 individual criminal aliens have been booked into Texas jails:
From October 2008 to April 2014, Texas identified a total 177,588 unique criminal alien defendants booked into Texas county jails. These individuals have been identified through the Secure Communities initiative, in which Texas has participated since October 2008.
I got you.
