Is there a FF thread? I know someone here has to play besides me?
Anyone take it as seriously as me? My biggest fault is my addiction to winning. I believe that's how people develop gambling addictions, like the joy of winning $1000 isn't as strong as the sorrow of losing $100.
Anyway, who plays? Figured I could start a thread for discussion.

I always finished bottom of my league in fantasy basketball although I did finish 4th out of 12 people once when I actually tried but the cash prize was only for the top 2, we did like a 70%/30% split. I still remember our first league a few years ago when one of them won by just 1 steal in the last minute of one of the regular season games.:oldlol: The person he played won every year after pretty much. He always drafted well and landed great trades.

So you went Brown, CJ, Graham and Manning?
I'm guessing there's a reason you aren't posting your RB's :oldlol:

I am in four leagues this year.
2 - $100 12 team leagues
1 - $40 12 team league I commish
1 - Free league my brother started up this season.
I take it pretty seriously.
In the league I commish, I allow draft pick trades and have managed to trade my way into 12, 14, 17, 48, 61, 62, and 65.

Even though I live in Australia, I have a very competitive league I play in with a few big football fans like myself, have won my league once and only missed the playoffs my rookie year, $100 a season, 14 player, 2 keeper players per season league
I will suck this year though as I will be overseas on draft night and I will end up with whatever the computer picks for me, might be a crap season for me this year but I can live with it, who knows, I might get lucky

Set that auto draft.
Rarely I cant be there for a live draft, but to improve your chances, take guys you don't want to touch (*cough* McCoy *cough*) and move them allllllll the way down the list.
Sometimes auto draft teams end up being better than anything I could draft. Artificial Intelligence and all that.

I'm 4th out 12 my league despite my top pick injured and my second pick sucking balls which were Dez and Hill.
I drafted well. Got Hopkins, Gurley, Kelce, Stewart, James Jones, and Palmer.
Got a few waiver picks. Doing decent

Nice pick up on Freeman. Crowell sucks, and DM has had two good games in two seasons.
I like the second team better, but fantasy strikes, and Charles is out the rest of the season.

Any thought on taking Charcandrick West or Knile Davis foe the rest of the season?

Get one, and hope you picked the right one.
Probably going to split, and with their bad offense getting worse, it may be best to avoid it all together.
Plenty of WRs on the WW.

We have a 12 man league so slim pickings. I ended up taking both and dropping Terrence Williams and DGB.
I have James Jones, Hopkins, Aiken, and Dez coming back. My backs are weak. I got Hill, Stewart, and Gurley. Hill and Stewart are major let downs. I figure Charcandrick West will play the Charles role running screens and be their red zone guy. Knile looks to still be their kick returner.

My three rosters, none of which are doing too well.
My $1000 league:
QB: Tom Brady (NE)
WR: Michael Floyd (Ari)
WR: Allen Robinson (Jax)
RB: Jeremy Hill (Cinci)
RB: CJ Anderson (Denver)
TE: Martellus Bennett (Chi)
Flex: Isiah Crowell (Cleveland)
K: Mason Crosby (GB)
D: New England
BN: Derek Carr (Oak - QB)
BN: DeVante Adams (GB - WR)
BN: Ben Rothlisberger (Pit - QB)
BN: Bishop Sankey (Tenn - RB)
BN: Lamar Miller (Mia - RB)
This is my big money league. I've finished second the last two years, and last year didn't lose until the title game. The pay out is 6k, 3k, and 1k. I'm currently seven out of tenth at 2-3. Only one guy is 4-1 and one is 1-4, so we're all pretty much in the same boat. One of the fun things about this league is that we do the draft by hand. Everyone gets a set of sheets by position walking in, and we cross out each pick as we go. I find it tends to lead to a weird dispersion of players, because you don't have the overall ranking sheet that is flowing the group of next ten or so players that the online drafts show, so you'll see runs on positions that don't always make sense. But the value changes with each pick, so if there's a run at WR, then WRs become more valuable than whatever the overall ranking indicates.
This roster is extremely frustrating because I have a handful of guys who you'd see on both sleeper and fantasy killer lists online. I had the last pick in the first round and took Hill and Anderson back to back. Anderson has absolutely killed me. And I always go light at WR, so the fact that DeVante Adams hasn't done shit hasn't helped at all. And Lamar Miller was a guy I wasn't crazy about, but he fell far enough I had to take him. My initial design was Hill, Anderson, and Miller as three legit starting RBs, with a top QB, and even a good second tier TE. I actually liked this team. But it's been pretty ugly.
I also took Rothlisberger earlier than I would normally take a backup QB. But it's a result of the live draft. I looked down and there were eight QBs gone. Ben wasn't one, so I grabbed him because I knew that meant two guys were waiting it out and Ben was the last guy left in the tier. I figured I'd be able to use him as a trade piece. And I had a guy on the line for Forte in exchange for Ben and any of my backs but Hill. Then Ben got hurt and I got nothing.
My $100 league:
QB: Phil Rivers (SD)
WR: Amari Cooper (Oak)
WR: Allen Robinson (Jax)
RB: Justin Forsett (Bal)
RB: Melvin Gordon (SD)
TE: The Gronk (NE)
Flex: Ameer Abdullah (Det)
K: Mason Crosby (GB)
D: New England
BN: Jonathan Stewart (Car - RB)
BN: Tyler Eifert (Cinci - TE)
BN: Ben Rothlisberger (Pit - QB)
BN: Sammy Watkins (Buff - WR)
BN: Devin Funchess (Car - WR)
This league is an alternate to my big dollar league above. Mostly it's guys from that group who are smarter than to put 1000 bucks into a fantasy pot. I was pretty burnt out on drafts by the time I got to this. I'm in 8th place at 2-3 with two guys at 4-1 and five at 3-2. So it's still pretty much even. Things were looking better when Rothlisberger was healthy. I had a bunch of action alive for Eifert and Rivers for a big upgrade at WR or RB. But still both kids have done well for me at WR. None of my RBs have broken out. I'm still hopefull I can use on of the QBs and a TE to pull off a big upgrade. One reason I drafted this team the way I did was to try and swing some trades, because nothing ever comes out of anything in these leagues, and I wanted to try a different approach.
My $25 League
QB: Drew Brees (NO)
RB: Adrian Peterson (Minnie)
RB: Isiah Crowell (Cleveland)
WR: Tavon Austin (St. Louis)
WR: Mike Evans (TB)
TE: Jimmy Graham (Seattle)
FLEX: Michael Floyd (Ari)
FLEX: L. Hankerson (Atlanta)
D: Kansas City
K: Dan Carpenter (Buff)
BN: Joseph Randle (Dallas - RB)
BN: Alshon Jeffrey (Chi - WR)
BN: Tre Mason (St. Louis - RB)
BN: Bishop Sankey (Tenn - RB)
BN: Darren McFadden (Dallas - RB)
BN: M. Bryant (Pitt - WR)
BN: M. Wilson (Chi - WR)
I got stung by Tony Romo in this league, and frankly can't believe I caught someone cutting Breeze. I was prepared to go through the season bouncing from match up to match up with the likes of Derek Carr. Breeze is obviously a shell, but I can still work matchups if I want with this many roster spots.
This is a 12 man league, and with the two Flex spots, I actually find this the most difficult of the leagues I'm in in spite of the small stakes. If they ever cut back on the bench spots this would be really tough, because with the byes hitting and the two Flexes, it's not easy to fill out a roster. I'm actually relatively happy with my mish mosh of B- running backs after AP. I'm 2-3 and tied for 7th place. There's two people 4-1, and four people 3-2. So it's still a mess.
We have a 12 man league so slim pickings. I ended up taking both and dropping Terrence Williams and DGB.

Definitely has me wary because Davis was an excellent fill in for Charles last season when he was hurt.
On the plus side, you got both, so that helps, but I think they will split more than anything, making both of them mediocre :/
Snead for NO if hes available will be a nice pick up. Marquess Wilson will be a nice fill in this week.
