Schoeller says the eagle idea was inspired by Trump’s trademarked campaign slogan: “Make America Great Again.”

“I thought he might be open to it, considering he’s a man who loves attention,” Schoeller said. “He likes controversy, and he likes to be in the spotlight.”

The 27-year-old eagle — named Uncle Sam — is owned by master falconer Jonathan Wood, who traveled with the bird to Trump Tower.

According to the magazine, Wood felt the shoot went well.

“Donald Trump is an icon,” Wood said, “and this bald eagle is an icon.”

The bald eagle was enough to secure my vote.

Bald Eagles are badass. I was on vacation in Maine a few weeks ago fishing at this spot near a ledge where harbor seals hang out. Out of nowhere this Bald Eagle comes and lands on the ledge and basically makes all the seals (about 10 of them) leave and get in the water. He then just perched there for about 20 minutes while the seals were swimming around wondering when they could get back on their rock. It's like the Eagle was saying "Yeah mother****ers, I'm the king here and don't you forget it!"

People say that the lion is the king of the animal kingdom, but the real king is the bald eagle. 100 MPH of flying death that can strike with death talons at any moment, whenever if phucking feels like it. It doesn't get more alpha than that. Even a whole pride of lions fears a single bald eagle. The bald eagle is the perfect representation of America.


In my country, Europe, we are stuck with prissy national animals like the swan. We envy Americans and their badass animals.
