An amazing season. I only wonder how far he could have gone had he not choked that 3-1 lead.

lol he had a 50 point game while up 3-2, we were literally a rebound away from advancing..

put up 34 ppg on like 56% the last 3 games of that series..

Didn't balbe score like 3 points in the 2nd half of game 7, the most important game of the series?
3 fricking points?! WOW :facepalm

Likely not far. Kobe has never been good at carrying untalented teams, at least not when compared to Lebron. Lebron basically dragged Kobe's 2006 Lakers to within 2 wins of a Championship this past postseason.

That's why modern defenses are so tough. A simple isolation is stuffed, it takes a miraculous effort to score. Beating the initial defender might be a little easier, but the lane will always been preemptively congested.

Score at halftime: 60-45

Clearly he should have passed it to Luke Walton more.

:facepalm A 15 point deficit is NOTHING in the NBA. A real leader would have kept fighting and inspired his teammates to join the fight with him. Instead Baldbe decided to quit at the first sign of adversity, and his team quickly followed suit.

If he keep "fighting" he would have been accused of playing selfish and being the reason why the Lakers lost

Like he did after game 6...

"I think they should have gone to Smush Parker at the end of the game".

"i think they should have gone inside to Kwame more".

In the east.
Against a defensive juggernaut Bulls squad and a 60 win Hawks team. Stop trying to act like every team in the East is garbage just cause Bron is able to overachieve and beat them. :facepalm
Also won 2 games against a STACKED Golden State team with a roster that had no business even winning one game.

0:33 seconds into the video is way too late to start a highlight vid.

Kobe hit not 1, not 2, but 3 straight clutch shots with LeBron draped over him...including the game-winner.

LOL at these fools bragging about peak Kobe beating a pre prime 21 year old kid. :oldlol: Then again Kobe has so few wins over Lebron led teams I guess they have to take what they can get. :yaohappy:

If that '06 game had happened nowadays, ISH would have been shut the f*ck down.

Kobe at first playing subpar, LeBron playing well...then Kobe nails 3 consecutive FTs, and THEN LeBron misses the game-tying FT AND the game-winning shot. :oldlol:

ISH would go nuts.

Not as bad as Lebron only beating an 36 year old Kobe by beating up on Ryan Kelly while the Lakers starting 5 is on the bench.

That was just pitiful.

You're right. That was a silly comparison on my part. Lebron didn't have anyone anywhere near as good as Lamar Odom on his Finals roster, yet STILL won 2 games against an All Time stacked team! :pimp:

Kobe was unstoppable from 05-09, and he was dealing with knee issues at the time

He'd probably have more rings if he joined the Bulls in 05

Hinrich
Kobe
Deng
Curry
Chandler

Bulls already had the 2nd best defense in the league that year, you add Kobe's offensive output and his perimeter defense and they win at least 2 titles from 05-08.

Lakers management should be ashamed at themselves for wasting Kobe's best years like that.

Kobe's pumpfakes and footwork were ridiculous. He probably got more freethrows on jumpers than drives.

What a frustrating defensive job. How are you supposed to contest any of his shots? That pumpfake is unreadable. And he'll hit you with like 4 in a row.

Damn....were your parents drug addicts? You are seriously the most stupidest poster on these forums, I think you are getting paid for something because nobody can be literally stupid as you.....

Serious question:

Where does this get you in life jt123? Does clowning on kobe make you a better person? What do you gain? Does clowning on kobe allow you to get promoted to manager at McDonald's or what? You should actually think about going outside for once and seeing the sun for once. Your a 50 year old virgin who burger flips for a living, you're proud of that?

Kobe mix with a throwback 2pac instrumental. Always a nice combination.

And yeah, 2006 / 2007 Kobe is the greatest perimeter scorer I've seen since MJ.

Odom was obviously very talented and versatile, but it seems the major gripe the Lakers had towards him was his inconsistency. He'd give you one good game and then three bad ones, which just doesn't cut it if you are playing in the western conference. Not sure if he could have helped Lebron in the finals against a very good GS team.
