This is somewhat forgotten, I don't even believe new NBA fans know that the NBA used a new ball to start the '06-'07 season, it turned out to be a disaster, players couldn't stop complaining about the new ball and the NBA quickly switched back to the old ball like 1 month into the season.:oldlol:
IDK what the hell Stern was thinking there.

Yeah the malice at the palace would be a good one. There could be a story in there about how it changed Ron Artest's life around. Or how it closed whatever window Indiana had for a championship. In a what could have been type deal.
Lebron will get one either about leaving the Cavs or his Heat years or about going 2-7.
The Spurs wouldn't have much entertainment value. So that's probably a no go.
The Kings screwjob won't be done, since ESPN pays alot to air the games and it would cast the NBA in a bad light.
Same reason why CNN or Fox won't cover conspiracy theories.

The dismantling of the Bulls and the Shaq vs Kobe saga
To be fair they won 6 titles in 8 years and were dismantled when the players started to age. Even if MJ never retired, Phil & Pippen stayed I'm not sure they would have won another title, it wasn't like the team was broken apart when they just started winning titles and everyone was in their prime.
Going off topic a bit, but I would like to see a 30 for 30 about the early-mid 70's Oakland A's. This is a team that won 3 straight world series (Yankees are the only other franchise to achieve this) and they are never talked about. They also had an owner who was cheap and never payed his players. He also cut a player during the World Series because the player made an error in the game, dude was a straight ass and the players hated him.

30 for 30: "Basketball Reasons"
The good and bad decisions (including a more detailed explanation of the Chris Paul trade-that-never-happened) made by David Stern and how his reign (dictatorship?) changed the NBA over the past 30 years.
To be fair they won 6 titles in 8 years and were dismantled when the players started to age. Even if MJ never retired, Phil & Pippen stayed I'm not sure they would have won another title, it wasn't like the team was broken apart when they just started winning titles and everyone was in their prime.
Should really just be a 30 for 30 on the Bulls dynasty as a whole. Lots of storylines surrounded the dynasty. The greatness of Jordan, the introduction of Phil, the feud with management, Pippen being so grossly underpaid, Jordan's first retirement, bringing in Rodman, the numerous superstars who ended up ring less largely because of them, Bulls/Pistons rivalry, Bulls/Knicks rivalry, Bulls vs Rockets what if, the ultimate breakup of the team, etc.

That would be great. But do you think they could really do the whole Bulls dynasty justice in just two hours? 30 for 30s are pretty in depth.

I firmly believe they beat San Antonio in 99. Just think, they won 62 games with Pippen missing half the season. Had they had Pippen the hwhole season, theres no doubt that they at least flirt with 70 wins. 67 at the least. Age be damed they were still a great team. And the shortened season would have only benefited them so much more because they could've went right to the playoffs.

I just think that's an iconic terminology and very unique. It would make sense as the title of a documentary on Stern. Not the revoked CP3 trade. Basketball Reasons would talk about Stern's massive influence on globalism of the game, marketing, and saving the league from the depths of hell prior to becoming comissioner.

Pippen being underpaid was his own fault for the long term contracts he signed due to personal insecurity. Jordan, the greatest player ever, was grossly underpaid until the last 3 seasons he was on the Bulls. Where he deserved every ounce of the 30+ mill a year he was making.
@ 97 bulls regarding the dismantling of the dynasty before the 1999 lock out season.
Absolutely Chicago could've won in '99. MJ wanted to play still. He would've kept himself, and the rest of the breakfast club (Scottie, and Harper) in game shape.
All the Bulls needed to do was bring in some form of young legs to supplement the Bulls aging top players. I think Rodman by that point wore out his welcome, so he would've had to been shipped out.
I think the Bulls could've beat a championship inexperienced San Antonio team in '99. They weren't youthful juggernauts.
If the 8th seed Knicks, sans Ewing got to the Finals. Why wouldn't Chicago have gotten there? Especially with a little extra rest on the legs of their best players before the shortened season started. I think that season would've, and should've been their last go at it. We got hosed thanks to Krause, Scottie's selfishness, and PJ's immaturity.
