The best thing Slash ever did was move on from this overrated shit band. I cant' ****ing stand Axl Rose voice...Slash was way too good for this garbage band.

I still want to see them reunited. Axl Rose and Slash had a great chemistry. And the Current Guns N Roses two guitarist have quit. Rose really needs a guitarist right now.

I would only go see a Guns N Roses show on two conditions:

1.) Axl Rose is replaced with Miles Kennedy. Axl can dance around on stage or play piano or something so you have all the original members up there. Watching Axl's current GNR cover band on Palladia a few months back was just horrifying. He can not sing these songs anymore.

2.) No "Sweet Child of Mine"; that song is flabby, recently-farted-from asscheeks.

Since neither of those conditions is feasible in the slightest, I'll pass.

Glad they're not mad at each other anymore, though...pretty stupid thing for two former addicts to get mad at each other when they were high and then stay mad just on principle when they're sober 20 years later.

Guns N' Roses had 1 great album and a few good songs besides that. I dont really understand why they've had such a long shelf life.

Use Your Illusion could have been a tremendous effort if not for the 20-odd songs of bullshit they stuck in there. Even funnier: two of the most noticeable efforts there were covers.

Any true Guns reunion must include Izzy Stradlin, and I can't see him doing it. Dude absolutely shuns public attention; didn't attend Guns' HoF induction and declined multiple invites to join Velvet Revolver. A Guns reunion tour would be huge news and draw gigantic crowds; can't see Izzy being up for that. To me, if any of the Axl/Slash/Izzy/Duff core is absent, it's not Guns n Roses

They're in the HoF, but the Dire Straits aren't? What a ****ing travesty...

Many people definitely remember their live performances. When Axl actually showed up and was willing to perform, they were some of the best to ever do it. Also, that one album wasn't just great, it was iconic. They also hold some radio records (doesn't really mean much) like longest guitar solo in a top billboard chart song. There really aren't many bands with their sound and guitar style which is why they are unique and have that long shelf life.

Izzy has done a whoooooole bunch of guest spots at GNR shows in the last few years. He and Axl get on pretty well. But yeah, I don't think he has any interest in the full-time touring lifestyle anymore.

I saw them live in Monterrey Mex in '92 during their Use Your Illusion Tour with Blind Melon as the opening act. Great show, that was probably their peak even if Izzy and Steven were gone by then. Great times

They are an iconic band, if all the original members do get back together for a reunion tour, there will be huge crowds world wide, they have fans of all ages. Agree with the poster who said they must be broke :oldlol:

I like the Dire Straits, but they haven't had near the impact that GNR had.

When a pair of old hooligans burn out on life and meet their mid-life crisis, what were we expecting beyond them having a circle jerk sob fest?

Axl is a washed up piece of crap, so it doesn't really matter.

Slash, similarly to Eddie Van Halen, is an unbelievably great guitarist...too great for the band he was in. EVH is the better of the two though.
