You have to learn to crawl before you walk. Basketball was obviously in the crawl phase at that point. The important thing is they were working on the fundamentals (except some of those passes). You can be a good basketball player if you perfect the fundamentals. All that advanced stuff only comes if you have the fundamentals down.

Thanks for sharing. I love watching how the game has developed. Nearly all of those skills (minus the underarm free throws for example) are still relevant - and indeed lacking at some levels - today.

You do realize that a video on basketball "basics" or fundamentals in 2015 would not look much different from this video. Right? Dribbling between the legs, behind the back, and spin moves, while effective at times, aren't particularly basketball "basics".

I took only "shot" . Kobe is better player than Sam Jones for sure. But if you do underestimate any era , you'll never reaches the truth .
