he did his time, but it's understandable why people still wouldn't want him on their team

I really wish Vick would have never done that dumb shit in the first place. Pretty much everyone lost out in that whole situation

Difference is, guys like Roethlisberger, Kobe, and Bill Clinton were never convicted of anything. Whether they paid the woman off because they were guilty or it wasn't worth the effort of fighting a case they will never really be able to prove their innocence in..we'll never know. Well Kobe was probably innocent but so was Tyson and he got nailed anyway.

As a Jets fan, Vick sucks. No team should want this washed up criminal.

I don't think this petition is about dog fighting, it's more likely about vick being injury prone and sucking dick at football now

I'd petition too and I don't even like dogs.

I completely agree on the hypocrisy here. People should protest Ben more than Vick. I look at Ben as worse than Vick. But that doesn't mean I think what Vick did was nothing. And you can't say 'it was just dogs,' because I don't care about the dogs, I care about what doing what he did says about him as a person. It's not like Vick ran the dogs over with a car or even shot them with a rifle, he systematically tortured them for entertainment. I don;t care if it's a dog, a sheep, a cow, whatever, if you enjoy torturing any animal there is something seriously wrong with you. Killing is one thing, taking pleasure in watching pain is something else.

your overlooking the main thing

Ben Roethlisberger is actually good. He is a hall of famer, who has taken the current team to MULTIPLE superbowls. On top of that he is STILL an elite QB. Mike Vick on the other hand is washed up and done. He can't play. This goes a lot into it. Should Mike Vick have been drafted by the Steelers and had a HOF career taking the team to superbowls? I bet they'd feel different. Whenever you got a controversial character it's always going to be a negative if the guy sucks on top of being controversial.

whether you like it or not the athletes skill and accomplishment is the most important thing here in the eyes of casual fans. they are more concerned with getting wins than being humanitarians.

Im tired of people who want to blame all their shortcomings in life on RACE. I see this shit everywhere. OP is projecting big time here.

My advice to everyone who is "paranoid about being discriminated for mah race!" is the same, go to ****ing Africa or wherever your people are the ****ing homogenous group. That way your "biggest hurdle in life" will be irrelevant! Noone can discriminate against you for being black(or whatever) when their all the same race!

this is an odd move coming from an organization like Pittsburgh .. they usually don't mess with these type of signings .. and in this case, not only is it bad press but he's not even worth the bad press since he's old and washed up .. weird move

60% of the Steelers atleast are black as is their head coach. You are retarded if you think this is about Michael Vick's race.

Nope. And I'm not sending him to jail. Was OJ ever convicted, no, but I still think differently of him after the trial.

There are actually a shockingly low amount of accusations that come up against pro athletes in the news. I mean, think about it, between the main sports you have hundreds, maybe thousands of young, aggressive, good looking men out partying and having sex with random women all year long and you see maybe a couple rape accusations make the news each year, which tells me that most actual assaults never make the news, fake accusations certainly never make the news, and the few that are big headlines, are probably true. And in his case there has been multiple accusations.

Brady hasn't been proven guilty of deflating balls either, but everyone outside of New England will say he's a cheater forever now.

Yet Steeler fans have no problem with their starting QB being a rapist? :confusedshrug:
