Including both regular season and post season

Basically a toss up between 1999-2000 and 2000-2001

2000 definitely

MVP (almost unanimous)
Finals MVP
his best statistical season in the post season and regular season

2000 is widely considered Shaq's peak

Including RS and PS its 2000 without question. But in the playoffs 00 and 01 Shaq were on the same exact level. Its stupid that Shaq and Kobe peaked at the same time in the playoffs in 01, we'll prolly never see anything like that again

Yeah, I didn't think this was questionable at all.

Yeah, its 2000. It's the only year he went all-out on both ends. On offense he was elite and on defense, he was DPOY-caliber. Other years he quit on defense in the regular season, had durability issues, and/or wasn't as dominant offensively. In 2000 it all came together for a full season.

ShaqAttack himself has said 2001 Shaq is pretty much of equal ability.

Robbed of MVP and played better opposition in the playoffs.

Obviously 2000 but Shaq was a monster his first 11 years (1993 - 2003) in the league before he started to slow down and/or get lazy.

27.6 PPG
28.4 PER
12.1 RPG
2.6 BPG

It has to be 2000 with 01 being second.

2000 or 2001 Shaq come the postseason.

Circa 1995 is underrated as hell though. Great numbers, nearly played peak Hakeem to a statistical draw, and was arguably in the best shape of his career (incredible motor for someone his weight and height).

Orlando Shaq seemed to have more skill than Laker Shaq, but he was clearly more dominant in Lakers. Moved a lot better in Orlando though and had more movement range.
