There's a more probably cause though

"I thought at first this might be happening every time you launch a program, which is perhaps marginally better, so I launched some other programs too and didn't observe any traffic. It was only after making this video that I came up with another theory: It does make the suspicious encrypted connection upon launching calculator. Why does MS care how often I run calculator? No idea, but I think it might be something to do with both the image preview and calculator being new 'metro' interface, store apps. It might be that MS simply wishes to be immediately informed every time you run any application. That's not much of an improvement on my earlier 'spy on your images' theory."

Microsoft should be the least of your worries

You should be more cautious about where you visit on the internet, knowing what you're into

I don't visit any illegal sites if that's what you're implying.

Of course not I'm just implying that anime and liking little girls is a slippery slope to child pornography. Asian culture is pretty ****ed up really.

But anyways

I just feel like that Microsoft is a well known, respected company on this planet, and they aren't going to be doing anything exceedingly criminal, that could potentially create a negative media stir against them down the line. They might be impeding on privacy to an extent, but unless you're doing something you shouldn't be, that privacy you feel is being abused, will never be acted upon, never be brought to light, never float to the surface. I'd much rather them being able to identify child pornography rings and future terrorists, at the expense of them seeing what porn I jack off too, or who I chat up.... It's a matter of public safety bro. Your privacy isn't that important.

Microsoft shouldn't be respected. You shouldn't have to lose privacy to ensure security, that's bullshit. I don't want the government to know the pictures I look at. It's ****ing creepy.

The reality is you're not that important. I'm not that important. It's about the big picture. Always has been, always will be. Society has never been 100% just. It's a lie. There never has, not will there ever be one.

We're going to grow up in a world where everyone is going to have blackmail on eachother. Shit you visit on the web is going to be public and no one will have a clean slate. I don't trust the government or these bullshit private companies.

The names change but the games remain the same

Just as the Lion prays upon the gazelle, while the gazelle has to settle for the shrubs

Internet and modern technology has just amplified the same injustices that went on before... Slavery of a different kind, it's all relative to the coding, the format is just different.

It's no different on my iPhone. I've installed a firewall app on my jailbroken iPhone. It detects that every picture I took, it sends information to Apple. It shouldn't be surprise for any of you that we are now living in a digital information age and almost everyone owns at least 1 device that connects to the internet. Apple, Microsoft, Google, etc.... collects our information all the time.
