Players that ranked too high imo:

89. Amir Johnson - I like the guy but injuries is part of the game and he can't move for shit due to his back.

74. Splitter - Sooo overrated, helps being a spur I guess... let's see how he does in atl.

70. Tristan Thompson - is this a joke, he's not top 100.

66. Chandler Parsons - lol. Is he even top 120 ?

Kobe is way too high at 54.

Players (incorrectly) ranked lower than him:
Batum (55)
Luol Deng (56)
Monta Ellis (57)
Tyreke Evans (58)
Jrue Holiday (59)
etc

Im just looking at the immediate 5 players after kobe, and I would take all of those over kobe in a heartbeat. Kobe would not even be a 8th round fantasy draft. The other guys in the 50s are all mid round value.

Splitter isn't overrated.

Perhaps he's too high on this list, and there are some guys who deserve to be ahead of him here as his role may well diminish playing next to two All-Star caliber bigs (not just one).

But he's one of the most versatile defenders and a great passer. He was the Spurs best player in their toughest series in the 14 Playoffs. :confusedshrug:

Edit: Tony Parker at 53.

TT in top 100 means if all contracts were void and the teams drafted he would be a top 3 player on some team. Which is laughable.

And Kobe at 54... He hasn't been in the top 200 for 3 years now. I'd like to know why he is going to be able to defeat the undefeated father time with his multitude of injuries and wear and tear.

Many take exception to Kobe's droppage on the top-players enumerations, but reality shows that he is overrated even in those "objectionable" lists. With how efficiently he played last season in a vacuum alone, there are many more than 54 players that any person with their GM-thinking cap on should take over him.

The fact that many consider him underrated on these lists is more of a testament to his overratedness than anything else.

yeah maybe top 20 all time
 Stans are never able to admit when their favorite player becomes a washed up shell of himself. I was a big MJ fan back in the day, and had a hard time accepting that he was no longer top 10 during his Wizards years. Kobe WAS great, but the days of him being an elite player are long gone.

He only played like 35 games last season; these lists usually look at more than just last season in deliberation.

Kobe still has the skills that few players possess in this league. He is coming off a serious injury and has lost pretty much all of his athleticism. After nearly 20 years in the league, I think he kind of deserves the benefit of the doubt.

It's not like he's rated 20th or nothing; he's 54th.
He played a total of like 40 games last 2 season.

I'm pretty sure they rated him at 54 based on his skill-set. Kobe is a crafty player and I think he'll surprise quite a few of you this season. I just hope he doesn't play more than 30 minutes.

There are obviously 54 players that GM's would take over Kobe hence his age and injuries. He's also in his last season.

But you honestly think this list ranked Jordan lower than 54th after his 2002 stint with Washington?

HE HAD A WORSE SEASON THAN KOBE DID THAT YEAR, EFFICIENCY WISE.
Go look at the numbers.

Fact is, forums like these do nothing but take pot shots to downplay Kobe's career.

17.7/3.2/4.9 on 40/28/81

15.9 PER 49.3% TS%, net BPM of -1.3 :roll::roll::roll:

thats like the stats you'd expect from delly if he was given the green light to chuck. top 60? PLEASE.

I am truly a huge fan of his game, as I can relate to his injuries and his attempts to come back and compete at the highest level. But let's not be delusional.

Drose needs to stop being delusional as well. He needs to stop ****ing taking 6.4 threepointers per 36 minutes if hes shooting 28% on them. He needs to know his game and play within it.

Some of the busiest Bulls fans on this board said he was better than Butler last season. :biggums:

This. I have said this before but I will repeat it again, vegas lines MOVED AGAINST lakers when kobe was out of the lineup. Vegas agreed that the lakers, without kobe, would fare better, sometimes by 2-3 points, which is very significant. For comparison, when John Wall was out of the lineup in the playoffs against atl, the line moved against atlanta by around 2.5 points.

Basically having kobe in the lineup hurt the lakers as much as having john wall out of the washington lineup.

what did he save us from? that game winning shot bron made on him to win game 4? bulls were a mediocre team in the east when butler was playing at his peak and considered "the best player on the team" averaging 3 assists:roll: . In the biggest game the bulls had last season against golden state, rose outplayed curry and carried the team to win, guess who didnt play that game, butler. stop the overrating.

you need to get a gripe understand how things work before running your mouth

if there's enough people in america that think rose is top10, and seeing as bulls fanbase is a big % of the nba public even more so in comparison to other groups, then of course bookies are going to have them there, it means there's enough stupid people in america to gift them money through that bet.
