The Suns were probably slightly better offensively but the Warriors are much better defensively.

This, '07 Suns vs. '15 Warriors would be slightly more interesting.

Although "slightly" probably ends up as still being a 6 game series in my mind. Golden State can hang with Phoenix's offense, but that defensive edge puts it over the top in their favor, not to mention hiding Nash (and Amare) can become rather difficult against the Warriors.

Not related to the matchup but it's interesting to read how much those Suns teams helped Kerr form what he did in Golden State last year (Kerr himself, the former Suns players like Barbosa, former Suns Coach in Gentry, Draymond specifically mentioned patterning parts of his game off what Diaw was doing for the Suns) though.
