High school players can also get away with things that would have been called when I was in high school (which wasn't the 60s btw). Growing up, they certainly taught us to dribble according to what's in the rule book, and not what you see on TV these days. There's certain moves you can't pull off without the rules being relaxed.
And then there's the travelling that doesn't get called most of the time.

^ As little of palming/carrying as it can be done for most of those moves...
Everybody and their momma "copied" his shit, right through to this day and age, and he still did them better than most; plenty of stuff nobody ever even duplicated even.

some GREAT 60s defense, the defender does the fundamental playground gamble and then he recovers in position but can't be bored to contest the jumper :applause:
