He'll be higher next year, along with Favors and Gobert when they make some noise in the playoffs. And from what we've seen in the top 30, I would take Hayward over Mike Conley, Dirk Nowitzki, Serge Ibaka, and Damian Lillard; and that's just right now, I imagine in a year or two he'll overtake players like Dwyane Wade, Jimmy Butler (bit of a stretch, but I think he can do it), and Carmelo if he continues to stay injured and not winning on a horrible Knicks team.

He's their 2nd best player right now. I think Hood could pass him eventually and maybe even Exum or Lyles.

Gobert is their best player and he and Favors are not shitty offensive players. Gobert made them a top team. Hayward made them a lottery team.

he doesn't look to score enough to get 24
but he'll get close to 20
he is a great player, but i doubt the jazz make enough gains for him to stick around a few years from now when his contract ends. that team is too good to land a high pick, too lame a city to land a free agent, and just mediocre enough to contend for the 6th seed.
they need to improve at one of the guard spots. i could see dante exum work out for this team but as far as i can tell, each of the three young jazz gunners need to be paired with specialist types.
they should retool at that position by trading 2/3 of those guys away. exum has the most value. trey has looked good though. keep him and package burks and exum next winter, after giving exum plenty of playing time to showcase his talent. look for a good shooting guard to compliment hayward. they could probably get tyreke evans for a lot less. i like that guy next to hayward and a gunner at pg.

Hayward is ONLY 25 years old. So I think there is some projection going on in terms of what SI is looking at. The question with Hayward is IF he will develop into an alpha dog level scorer. Some of the elite teams ACTUALLY have two alpha dog scorers on the same team.
So at best, Hayward is a very good #2 or GREAT #3 scoring option. But anytime u are getting 19 points, 5 boards, and 5 dimes a night, u are an All Star caliber SF. If he has room to get BETTER than that (which I think he does), then that's even more gravy!

Exum is out for the year. Doubt he has much value right now. Burke has looked good? When? They've already got Hood. He's going to be better than Evans and maybe Hayward. Salt Lake is lame? Not sure you got much right here.

Hayward: 19.3 PPG, 4.9 RPG, 4.1 APG, 1.4 SPG, .4 BPG, 2.7 TOPG, 44.5% FG, 36.4 3P%, 81.2FT%
T. Harris: 17.1 PPG, 6.3 RPG, 1.8 APG, 1.0 SPG, .5 BPG, 1.7 TOPG, 46.6 FG%, 36.4 3P%, 78.8 FT%
At least by looking at the stats, Harris certainly doesn't seem like a player 47 spots down from Hayward. I think that has to do more though with the fact that they placed Harris too low than Hayward too high. As for who has more upside for the future, I say Hayward only because I'm a Jazz fan, but we'll just have to wait and see. As for who is better right now, I'd say it's Hayward as well.

In my post, I said there was SOME PROJECTION with Hayward's ranking. Which means I think he was a bit overrated in his ranking. BUT if he continues his improvement, he COULD be worthy of that spot by the end of the year. If he DOESN'T really get any better, then I think he's a bit overrated at that ranking.
In the case of Harris, he's SEVERELY underrated! I don't really have a problem with Gordon's ranking, even though I think's it a bit too high. BUT I have a much bigger issue with the ranking of Harris.
Harris is younger and REALLY fits into this new age forward in the NBA. Which is a SF who can ALSO play as an undersized PF. Hayward is more like your old school swingman kind of player.

Agreed! Even though Hayward is the better player, I think they really underrated Harris. But since Gordon is already getting DAMN CLOSE to 20 pts-5 dimes-5 board, u are deserving to be a top 40 caliber player. Even though I think he Hayward was a bit overrated.
