View Full Version : Are we witnessing an Immigration Crisis?

The big talk in the States is that Trump wants to get as many immigrants their citizenship as quickly as possible. While this proposal is going on, there are also other immigration issues all over the world.

Germany, Macedonia and Hungary seem to be the latest to see an influx of immigrants. Germany has went as far as providing meals and education for these people. No lie. Come to Germany and they will house you. No questions ask.

Is this a mere coincidence? Failing economies? Lack of infrastructure in 2015? Shit countries?

Will Europe finally be one country?

We're witnessing the classic case of America being "da bess" on this side of the world, and Europe being "da bess" on that side of the world.

We da bess and there ain't nothing you can do about it except be a part of it.

It's the consequence of being weak on immigration. If you send the message that people who show up won't be sent back..... People are gonna show up.

EU is ****ing done for if this shit continues

If Krauts want to destroy themselves, they are welcome - the day Germany burns to the ground will be the happiest day in the history of all their neighbors - but now they are trying to force this shit on us too

New Zealand doesn't have this problem.

Too goddamn far for anyone to travel. I'm going to go there.

Australia has all their immigrants on an island.

Migrant crisis: Britain set to accept more refugees

David Cameron is expected to announce plans later to increase the number of refugees being allowed into the UK.

The extra refugees are expected to come from UN camps bordering Syria, and not from among people already in Europe.

No specific figure has been agreed, but Mr Cameron has previously said the UK would continue to take in "thousands".

BBC political editor Laura Kuenssberg said Downing Street had found itself behind the curve amid public and media reaction to the humanitarian crisis.

The PM is likely to make an announcement in Madrid after talks with Spanish and Portuguese leaders that had been intended to cover Britain's proposals for EU reform.
'Deeply moved'

Calls for the UK to take in more refugees have intensified after the publication of a picture of the body of a drowned three-year-old Syrian boy, Alan Kurdi, washed up a Turkish beach.

Speaking to the BBC's Victoria Derbyshire programme, the boy's aunt, Tima Kurdi, said his and his brother's death should be "a wake-up call for the whole world".

Mr Cameron said on Thursday that as a father he felt "deeply moved" by the image, but he has argued that taking on more people was not the simple answer.

But it now appears that his stance is shifting amid pressure from public and political figures, including:

Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has written to Mr Cameron calling for the UK to accept more refugees
Former Labour Home Secretary David Blunkett said the UK should take in 25,000 over the next six months
A petition calling on the UK to accept more refugees has got more than three times the 100,000 signatures needed for it to be eligible for a possible debate in Parliament

Meanwhile, a stand-off between police and migrants on a train in Hungary is continuing into a second day.

On Thursday, police let the migrants board the train in Budapest but then tried to force them off at a refugee camp to the west of the capital.

Well, that's debatable. I'd bet my house that they do not want to return to Syria of North Africa anytime soon.

while without having any known humanitarian crisis, and you were to take immigration and magnify it so that it can only be solved by those with executive orders.

Germany is doibg this to lower the interest of people almost killing them self to get to Europe. Right now everyone is going to Europe to try and get to Germany, Sweden and other countries with generous welfare. But if a immigrant comes to Europe and is maybe forced to live in Hungary, Czech or another country where there is not a developed welfare system then maybe they'll rethink traveling across water or in a truck for days.

Germany is tired of immigration. They don't wanna shoulder all of The responsibility.

the thing is that you can't just force these people to live in the eastern block - we don't even have money for our own people and we certainly are not going to pay for islamic colonization of our own countries and these people won't remain here either if they don't get the gibz they have dreamed up on their way

as long as there is schengen these people will always end up in richer countries

and if there is no schengen, then there is no point in trying to hold EU together

germany, sweden are creating incentive for these people to come and then they try to get away from responsibility even though they are the ones making the situation worse by inviting everyone to come

Merkel on one hand says Germany can handle everything and Germans should be happy people are coming, and on the other hand is once again attempting to negotiate quotas to put them into Eastern Europe. In fact EU has already came up with a new quota system today, 4 times bigger than the previous one, and will attempt to enforce in the coming weeks.

Maybe the German population is but right now it's clear that Merkel and the EU government isn't(and they want more!). It's an unfortunate situation but there's millions of people displaced from the conflict and there's millions of other economic migrants looking to enter Germany/EU. With this passive strategy they are sending signals that they will take them all and that's ofc very unreasonable.

And are these people really refugees at this point? The point where they go past the refugee camps or other safe locations(Turkey, Lebannon, Egypt, Greece, etc) they become economic migrants. These people are refusing to register in Hungary because they just want to go straight to Germany.

According to reports, these 'refugees' refuse food and water and do not want to be indentified and registered in fear of staying in Hungary.

They want to go to promised land in Germany, that's plain obvious.

Although the situation in Hungary and Greece is deplorable because they don't have the infrastructure or resources to handle the mass scale amount of refugees/migrants entering it still shows the motive of these people. But that being said do you blame them? If I were in their situation I'd probably do the same and the EU has to obviously say NO and create a clear policy. But the EU is being indecisive and trying to let the problem magically go away! The politicans there are too afraid to speak out because it may be career suicide for them.

BTW, isn't 75% of the refugees/migrants males between the ages of 16-35 or something? I mean...

German football giants Bayern Munich announce refugee integration plans

http://news.images.itv.com/image/file/758177/stream_img.jpg

Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have announced plans which they hope will aid migrant integration in Germany in response to the refugee crisis.

The five-time European Cup winners say will will invest €1 million into projects aimed at refugees and will also host a youth academy training camp for young immigrants.

At the training camps, children will be provided with meals, German classes and football equipment.

Bayern will work in conjunction with the City of Munich authorities to carry out the initiatives.

In addition to these projects, prior to the club's next home game against Augsburg, each player will enter the pitch with one German child and one refugee child in order to set an example of integration.

Karl Heinz Rummenigge, Bayern's president, said: "Bayern has a social responsibility to help the refugees, needy children, women and men, to help them and to assist them in Germany."

Bavarian Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann praised Bayern's work: "This is a great and exemplary action that I very much welcome and support - it's another great sign of the helpfulness and welcoming culture in our country."

The actions of the club follow the 'Refugees Welcome' campaign in the Bundesliga, which saw fans take banners to games last to promote the cause.

Fantastic...lol

We will put their kids in our prestigious academy.

We will also exploit the situation in search of future footballers.

Putin on Friday fiercely criticised Europe's foreign policy in the Middle East and in northern Africa, which he said was oblivious to local specificities.

"What is this policy? It's an imposition of their standards, not taking into account historical, religious, national or cultural traits of those regions," Putin said.

unsurprisingly, Putin is entirely right

Well if successful countries have to bear the burden of all the immigrants these crappy 3rd world cesspools are sending over, we might as well take over these nations and get some benefit out of it. The US should take over Mexico and Central America. Europe should take over the Middle East/North Africa. Then these activists can finally have their dream of people traveling freely to visit friends and family.

At least most Latino immigrants try to assimilate into American culture. I feel sorry for Europeans with all those crazy Muslims invading their countries. I can easily foresee a future of a tipping point that has native Europeans mass migrating to America and Australia. :oldlol:

Ideally it would help Germany's workforce help maintain their own social programs that everyone seems to want when they migrate there, but it obviously has its own issues as well like border control and culture clashing.

Ideally if the migrants don't accept any social welfare/handouts. But that's not the case and in most examples the migrants become more of a burden to the government because of the social welfare programs they receive to attempt to integrate is actually much greater than the money they put in. Think about the government is going to have to provide housing, food, schooling and other benefits to these migrants and it's going to cost a fortune. I think I read that Sweden or some Nordic country spends on average to the equivalent of $40k/yr per immigrant or something crazy like that.

I know alot of people make that argument of supporting the welfare system because of increased workers but it would be much cheaper to actually just give the old people their welfare...

BTW, those "rich" arab countries like Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, etc, haven't accepted not a single refugee. Dat Arab brotherhood doe :facepalm Does not make any sense what so ever..
